MakeMyTrip India — Why convenience fee was deducted since flight had been modified by airlines and left no option instead of cancellation!

I had booked indigo flight for 23 January Delhi to Bombay for my father around 12:30 flight, since flight had been rescheduled to 14:30 therefore ihad to cancell it. Since Indigo refunded my amount after deducting 95 convenience fee(thats not a problem).
On other side MMT had deducted higher convenience fee. Why they deducted higher convenience fee of 299? And why they are deducted since they had to refund that fees also because I had no option left for my booking! Either I had to travel or I had to cancell the booking than why not convenience fee had been refunded!!!
