Even I received the same message. This Mr. Mark White claiming to be CPO of Microsoft Splash Promo Claim Processing Office even asked me to send my identifications (I didn't send any bank account related stuff, due to fear of scam)...but still there are some scanned identity proof documents I sent via mail...I'm scared whether they'll have any repercussions...please I want more info. on this. Is this genuine or fake ??

I[censored] don't want to get scammed...NEVER send money or bank account info. or any money related info or money itself to these people...u never know who scams u...I got the same thing...and so far I've sent only identification and now the mail I've got...this is making my doubts clear...I fear this is a scam guys...please don't give money to them...they are criminals...and will ask money again for some reason.

This is what I'm asked now. They already know that I'm not from UK...so they said...plz collect the prize from our office...so n so address...I GOOGLED the address...gives no result...tmrw I'll talk to the UK consulate about this matter and get it confirmed...and the other option is to appoint some security company in UK, authorized by this Splash Promo guyz (that's what they say)...which means u have to pay them money.

Meanwhile I've visited many "This is a scam" forums...and found out that this is a sign of a scam...and the next possible thing they'll do after u pay money is ask for another payment for some other reason which will sound very genuine...

SO BE CAREFUL people...just remember u've lived life so far pretty well...don't lose everything going after 1 mill pounds which sounds very absurd. Must say even I fell prey almost until my eyes opened and gave me the idea to view forums on this matter. You all can GOOGLE search "UK Microsoft Splash Promo" and see how many "Fake Lottery Scam BEWARE" links...pop up. A lottery u won...for which u never bought a ticket is bound to be a scam. CAREFUL. Peace out.

I got the same message, these guys are just dicks trying to make a easy buck... they'll ask for your personal info first then id verification and soon they'll ask for some sort of payment claiming some stupid cost they have to incur in order for you to recieve your money, if they ask for this payment tell them to take it out of your winnings ;)

You can receive such an email/sms named from anyone and you may even get a link to some fake lottery or lucky draw website. But its all a part of the scam to take your credit card number or charge you in some way or force you to send them a payment. Once they receive the payment its impossible to track down. By the way I would suggest you do not use gmail as it keeps all the data from its users though its deleted and it could be used against you anywhere. Be careful where you give out your personal info next time.
