Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to file a formal complaint against Myntra, an online retail platform, for mis-selling products by falsely advertising them under a reputed brand name.
I had placed two separate orders via the Myntra platform for kurtis from the brand “House of Pataudi”. However, upon delivery, I received kurtis of the same design and color but from a completely different local brand, not House of Pataudi as advertised. This amounts to deceptive trade practice and misrepresentation.
Despite raising this concern with Myntra’s customer support team, I received no satisfactory resolution. The listing on their website continues to show “House of Pataudi” as the product brand, which is misleading to consumers. To validate my concern, I contacted Myntra support and explicitly asked whether both brands (the one received and House of Pataudi) are the same, and they confirmed that they are not.
When I escalated the issue, the only response I received was an offer to help with the return. However, my concern is not about the return, but about the mis-selling of products under a false brand name, which violates consumer rights and erodes trust in e-commerce platforms.
I believe this is a matter of serious concern and warrants immediate investigation and appropriate action.

I request the Consumer Forum to kindly take up this matter and direct Myntra to:
Provide a formal explanation for this mis-selling,
Take corrective measures to ensure accurate product listings,
Offer appropriate redressal for the misrepresentation, and
Prevent such practices in the future.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Akash Tripathy
