Respected Sir/Madam,
I am filing this complaint against Myntra.com (Myntra Designs Private Limited) for denying a promotional discount clearly advertised on their website and for subsequent unsatisfactory customer support.
Incident Details:
• Order Placed: 21 September 2025
• Order No: 131033063157291572703
• Registered User ID: [protected]
• Amount Paid: ₹35, 878 via HDFC Infinia Credit Card
• Advertised Promo: ₹1, 000 discount on payments via HDFC Infinia Credit Card
Sequence of Events:
1. Myntra.com displayed a ₹1, 000 discount applicable for HDFC Infinia Credit Card payments at checkout.
2. My first payment attempt using the card failed due to technical reasons.
3. I reattempted the payment immediately, and the transaction succeeded with the full amount debited.
4. The discount was not applied to the successful transaction, nor was any refund or adjustment issued.
5. Despite repeated attempts to resolve this via email and app, Myntra’s customer support was ineffective.
6. When calling the customer care number, I was instructed to put a call-back request on their app; however, there is no such call-back feature available.
7. There is no facility to speak directly with a customer care executive unless they initiate the call, making it impossible to get a timely resolution.
8. Myntra claimed the discount was “already used” on the failed attempt, which is not logically or legally valid as the first transaction was never completed.
Consumer Protection Violations:
• Misleading and unfair trade practices by denying an advertised discount without justification.
• Deficiency in service under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 due to poor support, refusal to honor the offer, and lack of accessible customer care.
Relief Sought:
1. Immediate refund of ₹1, 000 to my HDFC Infinia Credit Card (or equivalent store credit).
2. Written confirmation of the resolution.
3. Compensation for inconvenience and deficiency in service, as appropriate.
