National Highways Authority Of India [NHAI] — Toll fee deducted twice and wrong payment bill provided in the Bogalur toll plaza, Ramanathapuram | |||
On 31st March, 2021 when I had passed through the Bogalur toll plaza (Ramanathapuram district) in my vehicle (TN65AD7727) the toll fee was deducted under the Fastag option but the toll operator denied the toll fee deduction and demanded that I pay the toll fee in cash. Unaware of the toll fee being deducted from my account, I had paid the toll fee through cash to the operator. When I had confronted the operator later about the toll fee being deducted twice, he had provided me a bill with the wrong vehicle number and had refused to refund the cash or take up a complaint in the toll booth. The operator was rude and had provided me with a wrong bill information with a different vehicle number. I hope that this grievance is taken up and necessary action taken against the fraudulent actions of the toll booth operator. This method of providing wrong vehicle number bills to obtain cash from the innocent citizens has been going on for a long time in this toll plaza with many citizens being made to pay their toll fee twice with inappropriate toll bills. This fraudulent scheme taken up in the Bogalur toll plaza must be stopped as it makes the common citizens as scape goats by forcing them to pay their toll fee twice. The toll free number provided by the NHAI is never in use and does not take complaints as well. Was this information helpful? | |||
