NDTV imagine Goldsafe — Fradulent call hold on their number to charge your telephone bills

They provide a game show GOLDSAFE, wherein we need to dial a number to win prizes. That number never goes through and we are placed in the queue for long time, and that call charges are Rs12/ minute. They have a hidden strategy which keeps your call on hold for longtime reulting your telephone bill getting huge amount in telephone bills.

Yes, I have experienced the same. The call NEVER goes through. They also have people guessing wrong answers for the most obvious questions, which definitely is a strategy. I would advise people not to dial such fraudulent numbers, and people never win.

The number shown in the screen when we are trying it, the number never goes.It says number does not exists.I have called to the customer care even if it was my fault, but they said its not our fault.So do help how to take part in the show with proper instruction.

I agree... I was kept on hold for 4 minutes. Noone called for those 4 minutes..then was i kept on hold.. It is fraud!!!

I also tried in this show by prepaid connection, but the call always on hold. I lost my money, even if i know the correct answer. this show is totaly fake.

Goldsafe is a COMPLETELY FRAUDULENT programme and it is SHOCKING that NDTV IMAGINE is allowing it to run on its channel. Someone from NDTV IMAGINE needs to examine the consumer complaint forum to see how outraged people are about losing hard-earned money on running up hefty phone bills in Gold Safe's so-called waiting lounge in the hope of getting to the programme. Such level of dishonesty from the programme producers is utterly disgusting and NDTV IMAGINE should do something serious about removing the programme altogether. Who are the people in the Gold Safe production team and where is their office located? Someone has to be accountable for taking so many viewers on a bloody ride.

Agree to the core and though the caller is reach may be after 20 to 30 minutes they rake up apprx Rs360.00 which happened to my cousin and she was never able to get her call even after 35 minutes!!!

This is a fraud show. Host always says it is very simple question and if you watch it is really very simple. Anybody can answer each and every question very easily, but on this show every caller gives wrong answer. How the hell it is possible that Indian audience can be so dumb. The same answers are repeated again and again. The goldsafe people themselves call on the show and gives wrong answer. You will always be on waiting list. Somebody should take action against this show producure and NDTV imagine. This way show people are making money and nobody is gaining anything.

Please stop this kind of fraud show immediately.

It's just the question of luck...but it is also the question of money...if they want the prog to go on they should only give the phone call for participation...we should once...y can't they lessen the cost of call...after participating they should select the random or lucky no & call...when they can give such a big prize y can't they call us & ask the ans...

NDTV Imagine is a fraud channel.Those peopel are looting innocent people and the TV is hosted by morally degraded people who are trying to make a name for themselves.

I believe NDTV must have tied up with the telecom service provider for a share of the telephone charges which is exorbitently high 12 per min as a part of there profit.


Imagine a lakh of caller calling and stay online for a min..the total call charges amount to 12 lakhs just for a min..

Yes all the friends there this show is minting money from people. Only when the call gets connected then the billing of 12Rs a minute should start or it should not start. I have lost enough money in this and This month I have got the highest Mobile bill in my whole life. These mobile operators are also
involved in this and they also earn a considerable commission out of it. This show should not only be banned but all the customer's money whom have called should be refunded.
one more thing they hosts and anchors should be kicked right and left and they talk all non sense
and the callers have to wait wasting thier money.
These pictures which they show are easily recognisable and even then people keep on giving wrong answers non - stop till the complete picture is shown.

I was also cheated by this program yesterday (8th Dec). It was katrina kaif. The callers are answering same wrong answers again and again. This is complete fake show. People are being cheated. But the call was not transfered to studio. I recorded the 20 minutes of program and played it again. I found that the played the calls of same callers who replied wrong because the answers were same and voice of the people calling was same. So NDTV image is playing with viewers in unethical means and malpractices with malafied intensions under the MRTP Act. I request the viewer not to play in this program and come together and file a suit against NDTV image and this program.

I have the same complaint on this show this is totally fraud and they never connect and in todays show i've heard a voice which is the voice of Lady and it is taken by a Man such a big fraud. This issue needs to be taken a serious action on this show. And this type of show should not be tele casted and should be charged a high panalty action on the show editor. I completely agree...please stop airing this fake programme on TV. They make hell lot of money by cheating people. The strategy is to show a very well known face which even a child can recognize and then make their own people to call and tell some rubbish name. by doing this they attract innocent people to participate on this programme. General people have no idea how much money they are making by this fake programme. Just take an example..at any given point in time at least 5000 people (conservative figure) will be holding online and it takes almost one hour for them to reveal the actual picture…so 5000*12*60 mins = 36 lakhs. The Ministry of broadcasting should interfere in this case and make sure that all the people should be refunded with the money which they have lost by participating in this programme. I suggest all of you take couple of minutes and send a mail to [protected]@ndtvimagine.com to show that people have recognized the fakeness of this show

Gold safe live show on ndtv imagine is a fraud show. Its a live game show where they will display a part of the pic on display and ask you to name the celebrity. For giving the answers viewers have to call on 5664464 from their mobile phones only and they will charge you 12 rs/min. That is not the problem, the call will always be on the waiting list and the people who are successful to make a call, are none other than the goldsafe people themselves. Here how it goes once the call is made they will answer your call live and will ask you your name and where are you from after that they will ask you the answer. If you hear the voice carefully you will find the same voice again and again with different identity and intentionally they will answer wrong.

Reasons which confirm this is a fraud-

1. Same voice as if the one who calls is paid to do so.
2. Every person has a different tone and pattern, though you will find it same.
3. Questions are so simple that a 3 year old kid can answer and you will be amused to know that most of the people answer it incorrect purposefully


None of the real callers get a chance to get their call through to the studio. The call charges also are not displayed properly and people are being fooled in a big manner. i feel its a big scam and immediate action should be taken so that innocent countrymen are not fooled.

You can easily verify the proceedings of such shows by seeing and making call on those numbers. These programs go on for hours and hours.

I am totally agree with all comments posted above. I myself has lost many bucks by calling these people. Moreover, I observed one intresting thing that the puzzle which they show and the people (fake ones) who called will never answer the correct name in the show, no matter how simple the puzzle would be. In the last there would be any one who ansers it correct. All this is money making activity and should get banned, not only on ndtv, but these sort of programmes are running on zee tv and its subsidiries channel along with the india tv the great news channel.

Its with utter dissappointment i am writing this.I have always been a fan of NDTV 24/7 & NDTV India. But i guess NDTV Imagine should be renamed as unimaginable.NDTV. A quality channel like this has stooped down to this extent that you have to host a fraud programme. This is Heights of Robbery. Should be a lesson across B-School and on all Media courses on how to make money using all the possible resources that you have at disposible.
On a brand perspective this show will definetly effect the brand image of NDTV.

According to me the following parties should be repremanded because they are directly or indirectly related to a crime of looting money.
a) NDTV Imagine or NDTV-The parent company holding NDTV Imagine.
b) The Ministry of Broadcasting who has joined hands with the producer and the channel heads to allow such shows to be conducted.
c) The Telecom companies who are charging Rs 12 per min. Has Train given them the go ahead ? If yes on what basis and even if a go ahead has been given why has the public at large been not informed? No Press re;ease. An ISD call is cheaper that this. VAS calls are cheaper than this.
This very cleary shows a percentage of profits for all the parties involved.

Yesterday i want to test about how much time they will pickup call. i was in line around 51 min, but not luck. On 27-Feb-10, i will go to Police Station of Velachery and i will submit a fraud case againest Goldsafe and NDTV.

have the same complaint on this show this is totally fraud and they never connect and in todays show i've heard a voice which is the voice of Lady and it is taken by a Man such a big fraud. This issue needs to be taken a serious action on this show. And this type of show should not be tele casted and should be charged a high panalty action on the show editor. After reading the above comments one thing is 4 sure, that every1 unanimous agrees and believes that this show is fake & scripted, and these guys are unethically duping people of their money and nothing else.

So, i just want to know that after so many complaints has any action been taken against these people or not, and if not what remedy is available for the people who have suffered losses bcoz of such malicious practices.

This is a gimmick to make money for the mobile companies. They never take the call and you are made to hold on forever. This is a real fraud show. Somebody should check them out. It is scandalous that in times like this they are fleecing people and making money from this fake show which is just there to profit the cellphone companies.

This complaint is absolutely right. They are fakes, making money out of this show. It's the same voice you hear on the phone again and again. It is obvious that it's their own team that calls and gives wrong answers. It is so easy to guess the celebrity that it clearly shows that the callers are fake.

I agree with all the complaints about the Gold Safe programme, which is viewed on Zee TV and NDTV Imagine. I too was once kept on hold for more than 15 mins until I had no balance left. I noticed that so far no ladies called to guess the celebrities and the male voices sound the same. What surprises me is that none of the callers can guess the celebrities and if at all they do it is only towards the end of the show which is very strange.

I totally agree with u. I was also trying and keeping the phone for hold for nearly 20 mins and ultimately ended up in paying Rs.240/- (Rs12/- per minute). This is very bad. People are getting cheated and losing their money on the mobile.

I Totally agree with this fraud, the calls that they answer are their own people only. If you hear the caller again and again it would be the same voice with same style of saying "Hello" and just pretending a different name. The Pictures that they show are vrey very easy to guess and that is what makes people being falling a trap to it. You keep on waiting and waiting but would never get connected to the studio, . Even the Phone Sets kept in the studio are also fake. they are simple Child Toys and they just pretend to take calls on them. These people say that you have to be in Network area while calling, can anybody tell me that when you have been there on the call from last 20-30 minutes without any problems howcome suddenly it gets disconnected when you reach the studio.

World cup 2011; INDIA VS WESTINDIES, India had won it on the 20th of March, and silly Nasir (anchor on the show) somewhere in between said the match will be played tomorrow.

I want to complaint againstgod safe tv programme which telecasted on ndtv imagine at 12 pm I really surprized that why govt not taking any action against this programme.The behaviour of this programme is this that they ask to call on 5664464 but never take ur call in the show they will keep u on holding for making their own money & on the screen whatever call they take in programmes are fake calls & they are their own peoples who calls, they are only 2-3 peoples i recognised their voice & they make fools to us by diffrent names, this is the reality of peoples who calls on 5664464.Charges are Rs 12 per call which is more than ISD rates, and they never told about SMS Results .they think peoples are fool or they r too smart.I don't know exactly what action i should take for these fraud people.

as e all are aware that on NDTV a live program at mid night is being telecast called gold safe. They are telling to call to 5664464 to identify the celebrity's picture and those who wins they will get Rs. 95,000/- .
But, this program is just cheating the people by attracting the money. They are charging 12/- per minute and just keeping the calls on hold for several minutes.if the program is real and not fake then why dont u hire me and see the difference of earlier gold safe n @ present n @ future. please take necessary action on the organizers of the NDTV imaging Gold safe live show and help the innocent people. timings are 12:00-02:00 a.m is though a awesome serial bt the problem is that it keeps the phone hold n one has to wait 4 maximum upto 1 1/2 hrs which means speed rounds as well as timing warning is over many times very rare they pick up ma call after prolong waiting y is that so doesn't the telephone operator know that a call is coming and heshe has to pick up the call or is it that he is sleeping or is a lazy person to pick up the call if yes then why don't you recruite me and then see the difference. also the call cost is 12 rs so the channel can imagine that out of each and evry person who are calling how much they earn and how much calls are picked and how much a customercaller gets dissatisfied which is must for evry channel to satisy them also earlier this channel was earlier out of air i doubt whethr channel knows such things or not or is it like running in the hands of god

NDTV imagine — poor standard

I have noticed NDTV Imagine standard is going down day by day.They advertise one program and telecast another one. You just can not trust NDTC Imagine's clock, they advertised wrong programs for wrong times. For example they advertise Chandragupta Maurya for 10:30pm and I don't remember if any time this program was telecast on time. Same goes to so many others programs. On numerous occasions we tried to record some serials and end up getting absolutely wrong one. it is rather annoying and now decided to cancel my subscription. Please get your act together.

THe prize winners and the callers(connected one) in the show are internal persons of the channel as they sound very familiar and they would take the names which are in no corelation with the picture.

I think Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (India) must take action against this particular show. They are 110% fraud. The puzzle they ask are very easy and anyone can guess that, then also same repeated wrong answer with same voice of caller are announced. Also, they do not display the cost of call and any terms and conditions on TV screen. A banner continously keeps running below which is 3/4 invisble downwards and not readable. This is complete neglence of our law and government that these kind of stupid channels make fools of public.

Goverment should take actions against banning the channels ndtv imagine and e24 for promoting fraud based programs.

Perhaps, India is still poor in imparting justice and fraudlents gets continued . There is not even a single point of contact whom we can address this issue.

I saw this show today.I was connected and then suddenly disconnected.Also, I noticed today that there were no female callers! I saw one time at the puzzle and I knew the answer right away! And all the voices seem the same!! Such thieves! :X

we all are requested to vigilance deptt that they should take hard action against this kind of rubbish programme & also remeberse the call charges from the owner of programme to all the viewers those calls are in hold after the end of programme.

I totally agree with the above complainants. I have also noticed many anomalies in the said show. First of all the questions posed are exceedingly simple and easy and the answers received by the anchor are all shown to be false supporting the suspicion that the callers are none other than the show's members/accomplices. Secondly, the call never goes through in spite of prolonged waiting resulting to loss of time, phone bills and SMS costs. I urge the channels running such cheat shows to immediately put a brake on such shows and time has come to file a Public Interest Litigation against there erring channels to put a permanent stopt o this recurring nonsense.

I wanted to bring into your notice abt the discrimination happening to the freshers engineering students in IT company called MPHASIS .

We were selected in Mphasis as software engineer on sep 2007 during our 7th semister engineering ( campus selections) .We belong to 2008 passout batch. Due to recession our joining date was put on hold, and were made to wait for 1 and half years, and still we are waiting for the joining date . Now the problem is, that Mphasis has started calling a new batch on 22 sep 2009, and people called in that batch are our juniors ( 2009 passout), when we ( around 400+ people) belonging to 2008 batch are still waiting for joining date, how can a company call our juniors ( belonging to 2009 batch ) .When asked to our HR we are not given any response, we people are not even allowed to talk to our HRs, when we visit the office, nor they answer to our mails.
Dont you think this is a discrimination going on in such a big IT company.?

We people were not even allowed to attend campus interviews for other companies during our collage placements, since we were selected in Mphasis . And most of the collage does that to ensure 100% placements.
We people have heavy educationloans on us, at this situation how can a company do this ?

The area called Village dasghara Post Pusa New delhi-12 is spoiled by cows ,which comes from no idea where. About twenty cow are coming almost daily on open area and rest there for whole day. They are also threat for the residents. Pls do the needful soon

Brief Story about the accounts & Issues

I walked to the Salt lake branch, Kolkata to open an account, that time Mr. Anirudhh assist me to open an account,
I provided him the required docs passport copy for the Proof of identity & ration card & standard chartered bank’s account statement for the address proof as per his demand to open a saving accounts in the bank…

I provided him the address is: 13/1 Hazra Road, Kolkata 26, but he mentioned there 13/2.so just cause of the mistakes of that guy I haven’t received the courier i.e. My Welcome kit.

I need some money so I walked up to the bank to request to do the needful for me then there I found 2 ladies 1.Madhu Chandra (Branch Head), Vinita Sarkar (Operation Manager), They was not even talked to me & they just told me that that’s the RBI rules & u cant withdraw the money so go & talk to the RBI…
They didn’t allowed me to withdraw the money…
So now, that’s the mistakes of the banker & I am suffering here.so what to do next,
Should I have to go to the Press or should I have to give all the matters to the Newspaper.

That all this bull sheet things are happening in the Bank, As this Axis bank is claiming that that is going to be the best in India….
So, I hope you will do the needful…
So plz do the needful, otherwise, I wok in TRI MEDIA VISION, Newzeland as a manager, & make sure that it wont comes on my reputation cause of the mistakes & misbehave of the banker. Not my fault

Last month i have visited south india with one of my client from France, and i booked a ticket from www.makemytrip.com on refundable status, They accepted money through my credit card.On reaching Bangalore, I changed my itenary and wanted to cancel the ticket which was much before the flight date, I was then told by makemy trip staff that the ticket is non refundable..I was surprised over that, then i called up Kingfisherairlines.They informed me that they have already refunded my ticket to MMT, They have even given me a receipt.I have proof.
After that i got suspecious about this scam site and now i dont know what to do about this, I wrote them several emails and threten also of court and consumer forums, but they have not refunded anything.
Then i thought of writing in here
I have all the documents/date of ticket /eticket as given to me/receipt of kingfisher airlines
This is a fraud happening under my nose, May be i dont take any action because laweyers are charging me hefty amounts and cost of tickets is just 9500/
Think of those whom they say "sorry sir this ticket is non refundable" not every person check with airlines.But i did

On the delivery date they email me saying they don’t have delivery boys to do the same. I replied back saying then remove the delivery claim from their site and refund me the money. They didnt reply anything and also not refunded my money back yet. No communication as well from their side. I had a very bad experience with OM Packers. I booked a full truck from Navi Mumbai to Trivandrum and was promised delivery within 5 days with unloading and unpacking taken care of by them. The packing was shoddy and it was loaded as a full truck load i BY OMPACKERSnto a lorry with insurance provided mentioning the lorry no. After repeated calls due to non delivery at Trivandrum I was informed by Uttam ( Mumbai Manager) that the lorry hit a motor cyclist and there is a delay due to this. Finally the goods reached after 12 days but to my surprise it was in another truck not the one insured for. I was also told that a fine of Rs 2000 was levied by Check post police for exceeding height stipulations which I was asked to pay. Though I was lured by the ISO certification displayed on the site and promise that unloading and unpacking would be their responsibility. However when Head load workers here demanded Rs 18, 000 for unloading I was asked to pay the amount. Since I was in a trap I negotiated with the Unions and got it reduced marginally which I paid them since it was my need. However when unloading progressed I found a big crate under my goods. When I confronted the driver as to why he was carrying unauthorised goods in the truck fully booked by me and asked for the papers the real tr uth came out. My goods were unloaded at Vashi and kept in a warehouse for 5 days. Thereafter it was loaded into a truck which was first loaded with a huge crate carrying some machinery ? from LNT to ISRO at Trivandrum. I could get all these details from the papers the driver showed me on threat of calling the police. I wonder how possibly sensitive items of a defense related organisation could be transported in this suspicious manner and who is the culprit in this fraud. I am sure full cargo fares may be collected from LNT and as done from me also . It was raining in Mumbai and my goods got drenched with the cardboard cartons collapsing damaging my goods including costly artifacts, crystals, decorative pieces and crockery broken due to weight crushing them. I suffered a huge loss both in terms of damaged goods and my paying the head load workers without unpacking being done. I do not know if this ISO certification etc is a fake because though the site carries an office address at Trivandrum Uttam did not give any contact details even when I demanded for the same nor I found anybody representing that office. Apart from the huge fraud committed on me I also am worried about national security being compromised for the greed of such rapacious, unscrupulous transporters who would go to any extent to make a fast buck. I think the authorities should watch for such fraudulent tricksters and take exemplary action to stop such frauds which could be a national threat. Below a huge pile of household goods anything could be hidden and transported which could be very dangerous in the present scenario.
