[Resolved] Ortel Communications — disconnection of cable in spite of payments made id 57288 | |||
I've been a subscriber of ortel cable tv since last 10 years, (No 57288) and continue to be with you though the service was far from satisfactory. I was with ortel, because it was a venture by one prominent oriya family. While other cable providers were from outside the state. This month no one came to collect the bill, but my cable was disconnected. I have to contact your costumer care to send some one to collect the bill amount, which he did. The bill was presented to me which i paid him amounting rs 560.00 (Mr no b[protected] dt 25/9/17). I was told that the connection will be restored after 2 hrs. As there was no signals by 9 pm i contacted one number provided by bill collector mr ajit das, and was told that the connection could be restored by 11pm same day. As there was no cable service by 11 am of 26/9/17, i managed to contact a friend who is associated with ortel, bbsr, he spoke to his contacts and in formed me that i had a broadband connection at home and there are some outstanding amount, and this months subscription has been adjusted against the pending amount. This was a shocking news for me as the broad band connection never worked and signal was so poor that i have spoken to your people to take it back in the month of july. The story of broadband connection is as follows — in the month of march to be more exact on 25/3/17 one person (Mr. Srimanta bose - mob no [protected]) from ortel visited my house and told me that i being one of the oldest cusotmers of ortel of jobra area and having two connections at home is eligible for a broadband connection from ortel by paying a nominal fee for the modem, the service is entirely free for four months from the date of installation, and from 4th month onward the broadband charges will be included in the cable tv bill as per uses and the bill would be to the tune of 200-250 rs per month. I have paid the bill of june, july and august months and there should be no due what so ever. Till writing this complain the connection not have been restored in spite of lodging three complains through your voice activated services. Pl restore the service immediately and make necessary arrangements to take back the modem. It goes without saying that you have failed in providing optimum service and uncalled for harassment to a customer like me. Was this information helpful? | |||

Verified Support Oct 03, 2017 Ortel Communications Customer Care's response Mr.Parida, your service now enabled . we like to inform you that you have outstanding dues Rs2334 . this month you have paid only Rs560 .
