[Resolved] Oyo Rooms — cheating and fraudulent way to receive payment | |||||
I was looking at hotels of Shimla for my dusshera visit. I received a call from oyo agent to make the payment and a confirm the hotel booking right away through paytm and this would fetch me flat 20% cashback only if I make the payment at that point of time. Since my visit to Shimla was confirmed I agreed to the offer. I agreed to the offer only because of the fact that I would receive discount of flat 20%. We are college students and were initially of the opinion to check the hotel and location and then only to confirm the booking. But upon their words and the payment link they had sent I paid. The total payable amount was Rs. 6981 but the cashback I received was Rs. 300 only as against the amount of around Rs. 1400 as stated by the oyo agent. I called their customer service they apologized and told that they forgot to mention about the capping of Rs. 300. Even the senior stated the same and told they can't do anything about it apart from being sorry. I feel harassed and being cheated. They come up with lucrative offers in order to receive payment and confirm booking and they decieve the customers. This is complete fraudulent behaviour and action must be taken.
