Paytm — Health Hazard and Mental Trauma caused because of a faulty product from PAYTM | |||
This is related to complaints I launched on http://www.nationalconsumerhelpline.in/ as well with docket numbers[protected] and[protected]. I paid 3198/- for PureIT water purifier from my Credit card and paytm wallet on 27th July 2015 to PAYTM. The product that I received was damaged about which I reported to PAYTM on the same day itself. Even after continuously mailing them for more than 12 days I didn't get any satisfactory reply on mail. Nobody from PAYTM even called me to discuss about this issue. I always used to get a robotic reply from PAYTM mentioning that the concerned department would contact me in 72 hours, which they never did. Because of a faulty water purifier, I was forced to drink either impure water from tap or had to buy packaged water bottles from the market. This could have caused me some serious health hazard. Since I wasn't getting a proper reply on mail/phone from PAYTM, I got frustrated and mentally traumatized. PAYTM gave me a cashback of 953/- initially itself in my PayTM wallet. On 9th Aug PAYTM refunded 780 (transferrable to bank) and 1445/- in my PayTm wallet. In short PAYTM USED my money i.e. 3198/- and gave me back the SAME amount after 20 days. And I can only transfer only 780/- back to my bank account, rest all I have to keep in my PAYTM wallet. This is MALPRACTICE, PAYTM is cheating a customer. This has already caused a lot of inconvenience to me. I would definitely like to take this up in Consumer court. It is a matter of health hazard as well as mental trauma for me.
