We had booked 5 tickets through BookMyShow and traveled from Bhatkal. At the theatre, one of our family members was denied entry due to being under 18. While we understand certification rules, the conduct of your staff and manager was highly unprofessional, rude, and completely unacceptable.
No proper assistance, no alternative arrangement, and no basic customer support was provided. The manager refused to offer any solution such as rescheduling, voucher, or refund, and handled the situation in a very disrespectful manner.
Due to this, 2 members had to leave immediately and the remaining 3 could not continue the movie and left after interval. We were unable to utilize the service we paid for. This clearly amounts to deficiency in service and unfair treatment under the Consumer Protection Act.
I am requesting a full refund for both bookings or replacement tickets of equal value. If this is not resolved within a reasonable time, I will proceed with filing a formal complaint on the National Consumer Helpline and take this matter to the consumer court. I will also escalate this issue on public platforms and social media with complete details of the incident.
Kindly treat this as a legal notice and resolve the matter at the earliest.
