[Resolved]  Quikr — Cashback not received despite frequent emails

I had purchased used LG washing machine from Quikr on 17/12/2015 (AD ID:[protected]. I chose the payment via Quikr which provides free home delivery of the product as well as cashback of Rs. 500/-. In the email which I recieved from Quikr on 17/12/2015, it said:

[protected]@gmail.com has confirmed your offer of Rs. 5000 for AD ID:[protected] using Quikr Assurance. Get your product by paying money securely using "Pay Now". Offer Amount: Rs. 5000 Pay online and get Rs 500 cashback.

Please note the next steps: 1) Make the payment. 2) The listed item will be delivered to you faster than you can say Quikerrrr! 3) Only after your confirmation, the payment will be released to seller.

After I made online payment via Quikr on the same day (17/12/2015), I got another email from them on the successful transaction which said:

Hi [protected]@gmail.com,

We have received your payment of Rs 5000 for the Ad Id[protected]. The transaction id for this payment is [protected].

On 23/12/2015, I received SMS from VM-IPAYTM saying "You have received Rs. 500 Paytm Cash from Quickr. Sign up at Paytm.com with [protected] and use Paytm Wallet to recharge, pay bills & shop online"

As I was out of town when I received above SMS and as I didn't see any expiration or deadline to worry about, I decided to sign up at Paytm.com after I returned from my vacation on 2/1/2016.

After I signed up on Paytm.com, I didn't find any Rs. 500/- cashback in my registered mobile number (the same mobile number I used with my Quikr purchase).

I immediately wrote email to Quikr Service but I saw no response from this after waiting for couple of days.

I then again forwarded that email to same address along with to [protected]@quickr.com on 5/1/2016. I got same day response from Quikr customer care with below message:

Dear customer,

We have credited the cash back in your paytm wallet. The registered mobile number is [protected].

For further details please contact paytm care.

For any clarification or query please write to us at [protected]@quikr.com or just give a missed call at[protected].

After I asked for further details from Quikr, I got below response from them on 9/1/2016:

On 23rd/Dec. We have initiated cash back on xxxxxxxxx. But the paytm wallet was not registered from your end that's the reason amount of Rs500 was not credited as its gone expired on 28th/Dec 2015.
We are extremely sorry you wont be getting the cash back for this transaction.

Hi,

Please provide me answers to below questions:

1. Show me where it's mentioned in your site that Paytm account needs to be created before the transaction. I didn't even get any information that cashback will be done on the "paytm" account for me to prepare for it.
2. Show me where it's mentioned that there is expiration associated with the cashback. You just cannot tell me now that it's expired on 28-Dec.
3. Show me where it's mentioned that after expiration of such cashback, I'm no longer eligible for the cashback that you are talking about.

You just cannot make a rule over the email, it has to be properly communicated to the consumer. Expecting a proper response from Quickr.

Thank you for writing to us.

We regret for the inconvenience caused.We have already initiated the cash back as it is automated . It is a promo offer as it will get expired within 5 days. Please contact paytm care for terms and condition's.

My concerns:
============
1. First of all, it was never communicated to me that Quikr will be using Paytm.com for the proposed cashback for allowing me to sign up to that site upfront.
2. Nowhere I was informed that if I don't sign up to Paytm.com before 28/12/2016, cashback will get expired.
3. Nowhere I was informed that after cashback gets expired, Quikr cannot re-initate the cashback and my cashback offer will no longer be valid.

All Quikr did is reacted passively after I started enquiring about my cashback. All their excuses are baseless as they were never communicated to me well in advance for me to act on it properly. I request consumer forum to help me on this as Quikr customer service is not able to resolve my issue here. They keep on repeating the same comments again and again.

Dear Quikr,

I've written multiple times to [protected]@quikr.com and all relevant emails were already pasted in my original complain above in this consumer forum. The phone number you gave has never worked for me[protected]; I mentioned that also in one of the email that I sent, but got no response on that.
