[Resolved] Quikr — distance buyer scam | |||||
Fraud: Recently I had posted an ad on quickr to sell my old treadmill. Few days later I got a mail regarding the same from '[protected]@hotmail.com'. While other potential buyers were sending me messages which I could only see in the quickr app, this buyer had sent me a mail. So clearly someone is taking this information from the quikr information systems. The buyer had agreed to buy my treadmill but was sending me a cheque from UK. Hence I was requested to pay for the delivery charges of the cheque - Rs 8500. Then I get a call from a number and an email from [protected]@yahoo.com claiming he is from Lufthansa airline based in Delhi Airport. He requested me to transfer 8500 to ACCOUNT NAME: VINITOLI S ZHIMO ACCOUNT NO:[protected] IFSC CODE: PUNB0449800 BANK NAME: PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK BRANCH: DIMAPUR I did not trust and I did not pay. I am getting similar mails in quickr and the buyer says he/she is from UK

Even I also have received the mail from this person and after her reply I also had doubt why the person sitting in UK for trade meet is interested in buying. Quikr please look into these and block this person's profile, if you are receiving complaints against this. You can have a look at the mail I have received. I am blocking this person after reading the complaints.

1... Are you the direct seller of the Sofa.
2... For How long you've been using the Sofa.
3... Are you selling the Sofa with the center Table.
4... How many Seater Set is there
5... What is your last Price
6...What is the reason of selling the Sofa.
