My self Manish Baluja s/o Sh.Balbir Chander Baluja,R/o # 76,St. No.1,Kapoor Nagar,Sultan Wind Road,Amritsar,working with M/s Organic India Pvt. Ltd.,Lucknow at Amritsar Head Quarter as Senior Sales Executive.

My Company has provided me a Medi claim Policy of Raksha TPA as per details.

Member ID : UIC545264ORGA

Unfortunately, My son Ritish Baluja ,aged 9 years on that time suffered from Retina dislocation in his right eye, which was detected 6 weeks before the surgery.
When we got this investigation report from Doctor, He suggested that my son is in need of Surgery immediately to protect his left eye from extra pressure.
I was having the facility of Cash less treatment from Insurance company as per details given above so I was interested to take the benefit of Policy for Cashless treatment of My son.
Dr. Vipan Kumar Vig (Retina Vitreo Consultant) S.B. Dr. Sohan Singh Eye Hospital, Katra Sher Singh, Chowk Fareed, Amritsar has sented a request through fax to Raksha TPA for Cashless Treatment of My Son on 12.11.09.
In the reply of that request ,Raksha TPA demanded all the Past treatment details of My Son on 12.11.09
Dr. Vipan Kumar Vig, Has submitted the all past history of Treatment with his letter ,in which he wrote by mistake that the Retina Dislocation is CONGENITAL along with the disease of P.H.P.V(Presistant Hyper Plastic Vitreo) & Squint in Right eye.
In the reply of this letter from Raksha TPA, vide their letter no. RAKSHA/[protected] dated 17.11.09 ,in which Raksha refused the request of Cashless Treatment due to the CONGENITAL disease.
Again Dr.Vipan Kumar Vig , sented a Letter through E-Mail on 19.11.09 in which he Certified the disease was not CONGENITAL & it was written there by Mistake. In his letter he also mentioned that, “The child is suffering from “COMBINED TRACTIONAL RHEGMATOGENOUS RETINAL DETACHMENT” in his Right Eye since about 6 weeks .This Condition in not CONGENITAL in nature. The Child is going to be treated for the Retinal Detachment which is fresh in occurrence and not CONGENITAL”
But the response of Insurance Company was shocking, They have not replied the letter of Dr.Vipan Kumar Vig till date. Insurance Company acted most irresponsible ,Unethical & Illegal manner & have not respond after getting the Certification from Doctor till date.
That due to wrongful rejection of Claim of the Expense of Hospitalization, I have suffered a lot & also received great mental agony, harassment and the attitude of Insurance Company seems to be deficient ,negligent and careless one.
I have admitted my son in S.B.Dr.Sohan hospital on 20.11.09 for the surgery of his Right eye & spented 36667/- inspite of having Cashless Medi claim Facility from Insurance Provider Company.
I am submitting my Complaint in this site to get Justice from your end.I have suffered lot & right now I am suffering.
I am lodging my complaint for cash back of treatment Expenses of Rs. 36667/- & Rs.50000/- for the mental Pain ,agony, harassment for illegal acts & irresponsible attitude of Insurance Company along with the interest @18% p.a.
I hope that, In Consumer Complaint Site I will definite get Justice & it will be a great example for Insurance Companies, who cheating Customers.

Unfortunately it was mistake on the part of treating doctor to mention it a "CONGENITAL", although subsequently he retracted his statement. Now he has to substantiate the fact with proof that this type of complaint can not be "CONGENITAL".

    they are not lazy, they closed the file within 7 days- so they are very efficient in rejecting a claim.
    take up the matter with appropriate insurance co.'s authority through your agent- he receive the commision and as such is supposed to help you.

        Subject :False Denial of Cashless facility
        Dear sir/madam,
        It is matter of Great Regret that you Denied the Cashless facility on Admission of my Wife Sushma Goyal in D.M.C. & Hospital in Ludhiana who suddenly fell in Toilet & became Unconscious on 02/04/2010 & was admitted in Emergency in above Hospital.
        In application form for Cashless facility, the Junior Doctor on Duty in Emergency Hospital mentioned “Anxiety” also with other prima facie findings. And seeing the word “Anxiety” and Ignoring all other ailments, you Denied the cashless facility simply considering it a Psych. Illness. Pl. inform when a patient is Fully UNCONSCIOUS & unable to talk, how it was assumed by you that” Anxiety” is ONLY Feature for Admission & thus Denial by you of Cashless facility ? Whereas she was Admitted due to Unconsciousness after falling down in Toilet and was kept in Hospital for 5 days. She again fell down from bed to Ground in Hospital by Accident during unconscious stage & got pain & injury in Right shoulder & is advised Traction & care for at least 2 weeks.
        Also, after all Tests, Exams., Clinical evaluations & specialists consultations. It was denied to have “Anxiety” as in Discharge card & MRI was suggested to investigate But due to Unconscious Movement of patient (my wife) which was not made possible. Also, Due to Lack of proper care & Negligence, I want to continue Treatment of my wife in other Approved hospital only if you Reimburse Expenses Incurred till yet & ALLOWING CASHLESS Facility NOW after seeing the discharge card of Hospital.
        So, pl. INFORM where & which Documents to be sent or shown & this time after seeing the same you assure to give cashless facility for her Right Shoulder Treatment, Traction, Rest & MRI for Unconsciousness is still pending . So, Pl. reply urgent as any delay may be fatal for her and for us also as due to lack of money her treatment is pending & I am harassed on your Denial of cashless facility.

          My claim has been rejected as
          per reason given that Doc delayed one day later as per defined TAT by company and as per company's detail claim was not intimated to them but same is not is not correct. As I had applied for
          cashless admission and due to lack of coordination between insurance company and CMC hospital doctor andeven 6 times clarification (between them) it has not got processed and I have made cash payment. i I had
          couriered the same on 10 Dec 2009. Delay has happened due
          to receiving the docs delay from hospital was intimated to your call centre in
          2nd or 3rd week of November to insurance copmanies help line.
          I am being harassed on by even not responding to mail and it can be established through a series of mail I have.
          This case since very beginning due to
          lack of communication between insurance company and Hospital.

            I have taken a mediclaim policy from you vide policy no. 200404/48/08/97/00000328 in the name of following persons:
            1 Wakeel Chand Goyal
            2 Krishana Goyal
            This policy was valid upto 09/09/2009. The policy has already been renewed upto 09/09/2010.
            It is regretted that I have not received the I-cards till date despite repeated reminders sent at registered office of the company.
            All the three toll free numbers were unattended today.
            I seached for the nearest branch at Ludhiana with telephone number as[protected].
            When dialed I got the message, “ THIS NUMBER DOES NOT EXIST”.
            Then I searched for the state headquarters i.e. Chandigarh office of the company.
            I got the number[protected].
            When dialed, I got the message, “TELEPHONE CALLS TO THIS NUMBER ARE DEBARRED”.
            Please let me know:-
            1 Whether or nor other branches are working at their respective office?
            2 Whether all the toll free numbers are always un-attended?
            3 Can I await delivery of I-cards?
            4 Whether individual insured persons are eligible for registration at your website?

              Dear Sir,

              It is to bring in your kind notice that I m a Citizen of Free India by birth and now living in Jamia Nagar New Delhi a Hub of education, a place of true secularisms and unity, since my child hood and till date I have seen every ups and down in the area and feel that this particular area is being ignored by MCD in terms of sanitation where we are going to celebrate the common wealth.
              Sir it is my very humble request to MCD accountable people please visit the Abul Fazal Enclave area and see the state of affairs of garbage and try to get to the bottom of the problem sooner than escalation.

                I have family mediclaim policy from Oriental insurance since many years. My policy no is 111700/34/08/11/00002925 . and my personal insurance limit is Rs 400000/- I had to undergo
                surgery of Right Ureteric Calculus. Total Claim amount was Rs. 39669/ whereas i was paid Rs 29669/-
                Rs. 10000/- was deducted from surgeon charges saying it was not proportion to room rent.
                It is shocking to hear this. Even though my insurance limit was much higher I opted for economy
                class in the interest of my insurance company. If I had opted for higher class I would have been paid the
                full amount. Before surgery, I enquired at Bombay Hospital where I was given the estimate of Rs. 100000/- approx for same surgery. Do insurance company and their Tpa want their policy holder to incur more and more towards their illness to get their claim fully. Can any one explain this logic.

Before six month's my wife was admited in ahmedbad gyatri hospital. after tretment i am submited all document in ahmedabd office thorw pragnesh joshi. and after six month's they say's your file is colsed bocoz you are not replay to our letter. till date not even singal letter i got. and what i have to do i don't no plz do something sir.

                    I have taken my son to Kailash Hospital for some injury and after initial discussion they told me that there will be some surgery So pl pay some advance amount or deposite your medicliam detail and card no so the treatment can be started But to my surprise the raksha tpa contract was cancelled from such reputed Hospital and when i contacted Raksha so they told us it has been cancelled two month back only but you can continue with your medical treatment and submit your bills so we will pay the amount within 15 days.
                    But fter chasing 3 month to our agent (Rajeev Sethi) for which he was giving some false stories, finaly i have contacted raksha tpa then they told me your bill will not be paid because it is not 3 year old.My question is that why Raksha team has not told us this when i contacted them before treatment? Why they have not me informed such clause in which simple injury is not considerd which require 3 year policy period.
                    Almost this is the 3rd year and till date they have not given us my photo id card after my long chase us.Pl some body suggest me the way by which i can my unpaid bills. Regards

                      Our claim amount is more than Rs. 51, 326.00.
                      I encashes chaque of Rs. 46, 193.00 as partly payment of our total claim amount.
                      We are disagree with your settlement of our claim amount.
                      Because I have send too many raceipt and bills of our claim amount, that all receipts/bills you have not taken in your calculation of claim settlement.

                      So, I request to you please note my objection and take proper decision for solving my pending claim amount bills and receipts. I have inform to you about this matter my letter dated 28-Jan-2009.

                        Hi,

                        I have a medical / health policy from New India Insurance company .
                        Details of my Policy are

                        Member id : N086721
                        Name : Chander Mohan Chopra
                        Policy no : 312000/34/07/11/00000556
                        Claim amount : Rs16885

                        I was admitted in the hosiptal on 21-aug-2008 to 23-aug-2008 and had a put a claim to Raksha TPA on 8th Sep'08 since my cashless hospitalization form was not approved by raksha during my stay at the hosipital.
                        In October I recieved a reminder from Raksha asking for the following papers:
                        1.TROP-T Report in original.
                        2.Original report during hospitalisation. 3.Provide BP charting of the patient for course during
                        hospitalisation.
                        4.Break up in details for drugs charges of Rs.154/- in main hospital bill.


                        I had submitted all relevant documents by 12th Nov '08 ( courier reciept available )as asked in the reminder mails by Raksha yet my file was closed on 19th Nov'08

                        The courier company name was : On dotcouriers & cargo ltd and docket no was :[protected] which was receieved before the final reminder expired .


                        After writing on thier website several times, someone from Raksha finally contacted me in Jan'09 to discuss this case. After a detailed discussion i was asked to visit my branch office in Bikaji Kama place, New Delhi to get a File re opening letter from New India Insurance office. My brother Visited the following address

                        New Delhi

                        On the visit to New India Insurance office my brother were asked to get in touch with the R.O in C.P, New delhi and was also told that they have no informantion on file closure of this policy number.

                        I wrote an email to the Divsional manager of Bhikaji cama place branch (Mr Amit Mishra :DO-312000) asking for help who promptly responded nad forwarded another mail to Mr.Gupta stating that they have not recieved any papers from Raksha. Its been a week today and Mr. Gupta has not bothered to respond to this query.

                        Finally status is

                        Raksha : wants a re opening letter from THE NEW INDIA ASSURANCE CO. LTD
                        New india Insurance : write an email to Mr gupta in RAKSHA TPA who does not repsond
                        customer : Is stuck between insurance company and TPA

                        Its been 5 months i have been trying to get this case settled but there is no end to my waiting.

                          Dear Sir,

                          My wife was admitted in the Hospital from 20-june 2008 to 06 july 2008. Due to some unavoidable reasons i submitted the bills to my company on 10 -august 2008, and Raksha received those bills on 14-aug-2008. Raksha denied to pay the bills becuase it was submitted late (not with in 20 days period).

                          I want to know that is there any time limit of receiving the claim, or any Insurance provider can deny due to this reason

AFTER FEW DAY'S THERE ARE SENDED ONE LETTER REQUST THEY WANT A SOME DOUCMENT .WHEN SENDED LETTER THEY GIVE ME ANOTHER LETTER AND REQUST FOR ALL PAST DOCUMENT AND HOSPTLIZTION LETTER AND OTHER DOCUMENT.                             This is a sorry state of affairs.
                            While settling for lower amount of Rs.39000/- as against the claim amt of Rs.98000/- they must have given the reason for it and so also in case of closing the file.
                            If not, he can always lodge a complaint with Ombudsman's office.

                            Unless insurance co's letter are seen, nothing can be said for sure but apparently rejection seems to be unjustifiable.

                              Dear Sir,
                              Before I make an official complaint I need to know my rights with regard to a mediclaim made by me.
                              Details of this claim are available on the following website:

                              The claim No is : [protected]

                              This claim is made with regard to my son who was recently admitted to Lilavati hospital. The claim amount as per the bills is
                              Rs: 4,14,860/-
                              However the insurance company has decided to pay me just Rs:2,20,000 and on the website they have mentioned that this
                              Amount payable restricted to SI + CB : RS 220000/-

                              I do not follow what this means and want to ask them to give me details as to why they made these deductions.

                              Before I take this matter up, legally if necessary, I need to know from you if I am entitled to be given such information by Raksha TPA as to how they have arrived at this low figure in the amount reimbursed.

                              They have mailed me the cheque but with a letter stating that if I encash the cheque then this will be considered as the full and final settlement with no additional liabilities on their part.
                              Therefore I am NOT encashing the cheque until I find out what are my rights in this matter.
