[Resolved] Redbus — bus fare hike

Now a days each and every private travels operators suddenly increase the bus fares during festival sessions, it goes like 100 to 200% from the regular fare, without providing any extra facilities also, in addition to that during the journey, if bus gets break down, then operator doesn't think about passengers, passengers need to take other transport to reach destination.

Is there any way to get control over bus fares.

The fares displayed are at sole discretion of the bus operators. We would like to clarify that as an online marketplace for bus tickets, redBus does not set the prices for tickets and only displays the ticket fare set by bus operators. Your kind understanding is much appreciated in this matter.

Updated by ravipatic I knew about it.I had a very bad experience with orange travels which i travelled from Chilakaluripet to Bangalore on 09th November 2018, but that bus got breakdown near Karnataka border.but operator asked us to get into public transport to reach destination.We suffered a lot on that day, I can understand it, some times it happens, but after that i called so many times to operator customer care, they said that they will call back to me, but didn't get a call from them, they said they are not able to reach me.You guys should be proactive to get a refund for that journey.but you didn't do it, even operator doesn't make to a call or mail to me.

Are you guys doing free services to operators?.If yes i can think of it, if it is no then you are responsible of it.

I need a refund according to the AC sleeper bus fare from Palamaner to Bangalore, I spent Rs.246 from Tin Factory to my destination via OLA cabs.

I called customer care, they said they can give Rs.500 as a refund, I won't accept it.I file a case against you and operator If you guys didn't take action on it.
