The original ticket, TUAJ78387556, booked on September 21 for travel on October 25, was booked at a price of 2000/- (including all charges) and had flexi date change facility available.
The price of a ticket on the desired new travel date of 19 October is 857/- without any additional charges.
The rescheduled ticket, TUBB29015774, booked on October 15 to travel on 19 October, shows the same ticket price as the original ticket.
The journey date was changed with flexi date facility, and no refund was made even after the large reduction in ticket price.
Screenshots of the tickets and the app window on new ticket price are attached.
I talked to customer care, and they pointed to the company policy that refund is not applicable under the terms.
This is more than half the original ticket price that could've have been refunded under cancellation of new ticket, which was not communicated to me in any way during the supposedly 'convenient' process of flexi ticket. This is a blatant example of dark pattern practice.
I want to know if RedBus shows any responsibility of hiding useful information here to grab illegitimate charges from customers. Was this information helpful? |
