[Resolved] Reliance Digital — AC not installed and unethical sales practice | |||||
I purchased Voltas Split AC on Monday[protected] from the reliance digital outlet in Semmencherry Chennai (Ground Floor, Tech Pumps Tower, No. 3 /62 Rajiv Gandhi Salai, MR Road, Navallur, Semmanchery, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600119.) The sales girl who attended me was Ms. Anitha. I was looking for Voltas 5 star AC. When asked she told they don't have a display piece of the AC and when i asked for any brochure, they dint have it as well.I however finalized to buy the Voltas 125MY model after checking the model details online. I specifically asked Anitha about delivery & installation, she promised me that the AC will be delivered on Tuesday and also gave 90% guarantee to have the AC installed on Tuesday and if not 100% on Wednesday i.e[protected]. She gave me her personal mobile number and asked me to inform her as soon as the product was delivered so that she will arrange for the installation. She told she will definitely pick my call and co-ordinate everything. The promises that she made were overwhelming. Any person will fall for the kind of promises that she made. On Tuesday, The product was delivered around 1 PM( the delivery guy took 100 Rupees by being emotional). I tried calling Anitha on her mobile- no response.. where did the promise go??? I then called the store and spoke to Anitha who in turn promised to get back to me with the installation details. Waited for 1 hour, no response what so ever from her. I had to follow up. Called the store again, at that point one sales person by name Anand picked and told that the installation guys will definitely come by eod. No one turned up. Another promise never met! I was expecting some kind of information from the store today morning. No one called me until 11.30 AM. I again had to followup. I called Anitha again, who told that she was talking to the technician and promised to get back to me shortly. Waited for and hour and i had to followup as there was no update from her. Another promise not met!. When i later called her around 1 she promised me 100% that the installation technician will definitely come today and she didn't know the exact timing. I was relieved that at least the technician would be coming today. No technician has turned up so far. I again called Anitha on her mobile twice and also dropped a message. No response at all. Called the store and to my surprise there was no response from the store as well. Wow what a fabulous customer service. I have called[protected] and raised a complaint, but I am sure that fell on deaf ears. While i purchased the AC i also purchased the Resq care plan worth 3000 rupees, which gives me additional 2 years of warranty. I bought this only because it was reliance. Now with the kind of experience i have gone through, I have no faith that the the Resq care plan would work any good. I think the 3000 rupees that i paid is gone down the drain. Its 40+ degrees and very hot here and i have an AC at home which is not installed yet. What should i do now?? I was on leave for last couple of days thinking that the installation technician would be visiting me. Just that I lost my leave and nothing happened with the installation What is concerning me is that Reliance is a global brand and how can unethical sales practices still be followed. Isn't Reliance worried about customer satisfaction?? for the sake of selling a product you give false promises??? As a customer you let me know what would have been your reaction for these. I hope this mail doesn't fall into deaf ears as it happened for couple of days now.. I am looking forward for some actions and firstly would be be get rid o[censored]nethical sales practices and being transparent in all communication with the customers.
