[Resolved]  Samsung India — customer service

Address:New Delhi, Delhi, 110091

My samsung smart-phone developed a defect yesterday, so this morning i called the main help number of the company. The polite young woman who answered said, after operating the phone remotely with special software, that she could find nothing wrong with it and that i should take it to a service centre. On the samsung web site i found that care point is close to where i live. A phone number, [protected], is given and also the e-mail address [protected]@gmail.com.

I called the number and a man who said he was sunil bansal answered. I asked about working hours and he said they didn't close for lunch. Accordingly i reached the place around 12.30. When i asked for s. Bansal i was asked my name. I said i had explained my problem over the phone but had not given my name or been asked for it. I sat down to wait.

In a room marked "customer interaction" (Or similar) were two men, one of whom was almost certainly s. Bansal. They were talking constantly and loudly.in the hall where i sat was a long desk behind which were four or five young employees. One of them dealt with three customers while i waited and the others either chatted amongst themselves or did nothing.

I was ignored for 30 minutes or more, after which i quietly walked out. This is how samsung's service people in east delhi behaved towards a customer, a grey senior citizen who walks with a stick. Might this be related to my beard and to the tehmat i wear?

Yesterday, 10 August, I went to the Samsung service centre near Preet Vihar Metro station. I was well treated and the software of my phone was re-installed. However, back at home I found that the back cover of the phone and the SIM card in it had not been returned to me. At first they kept saying that I would have to come again to collect the two items, but after I told them firmly that I would not run around because one of them had been careless, they agreed to send the phone to my home. No definite time was given. Eventually I got the phone today. I had to call them repeatedly.

Two Samsung service centres in east Delhi -- Care Point in Mayur Vihar 1 and Maa Vaishnavi Eservices in Preet Vihar -- are run by people who believe that customers' interests have the lowest priority. They forget their customers after taking their money.
