[Resolved] Samsung India — rs554nrua1j double door refrigerator - coolant replacement | |||
We purchased a double door samsung refrigerator (Rs554nrua1j) last year by shelling out close to rs 90000. It is less than 18 months now and there is zero cooling in the fridge. We called up the service center and the person in charge tells us that we have to change the coolant (Gas) and filter. Ref service reference no [protected]. The approx cost for this would be rs 3500 and would have to be borne by us as it is outside the warranty period. Shouldn't a refrigerator work without any issues for at least 5 years? If we are facing an issue within 18 months of purchase, can this be deemed as a manufacturing defect? Is this a common issue in this category of refrigerators? If yes, samsung should stop selling these products till they have a proper quality check conducted. Was this information helpful? | |||

I had LG refrigerator for more than 10 years with out an issue. upgraded to Samsung and already giving PAIN within in 2 years.
I see a point that this model has some manufacturing defect with the coolant. in this case, they Samsung should recall the product and replace with a new.
Now i do not recommend any Samsung products.. very bad ... :(
