[Resolved] Samsung India — washing machine drum shaft failure | |||||
I bought a samsung wf600u0bhwq washing machine on 12/06/2015. This developed noise and i called the toll free no.[protected] on 28/03/2018 and they told me that my machine is under warranty and arranged a technician and promised that there will be no charges. Technician arrived in one hour and said the drum shaft is broken and it will cost rs. 12, 500/-. He charged me rs. 295/- for his visit. I opened the machine and found that the alloy brackets got oxidized and failed. I managed to fabricate ss brackets and fixed the machine in one day. I spend only rs. 1, 000/- and ss will not oxidize and perish. 1. Oxidization in soap water is the result of wrong material. (I use ariel soap powder for front loader.) it is a manufacturing defect. Please consider for future products. 2. Service charge offered was shocking. (Despite the promise of no charge) 3. Technician’s visit charge despite the promise of no charge is objectionable.
