Samsung Service Center — Refusal to entertain the queries

HI I had visited the samsung service centre situated at dadar east with the request to block the IMEI nos of my stolen handset. I was denied the entry by the watchman sitting at the entrance issuing the token number saying that they service centre will not be able to do anything as the handset was not insured. I fail to understand what is it to do if the handset is insured or not to get the IMEI nos blocked, as i have the purchase invoice and the lost / theft certificate issued by local police station in original and the same has been logged in their complaint records.
