This courier company is running a pan-India scam of fake orders.
1. First you will receive an SMS saying your order from will be delivered today. There will be a link to track the shipment.
2. This link will not work and you can't track it on www.shadowfax.in website with any AWB number or anything given in the SMS.
3. Within one hour you will get a phone call asking for directions to your home for delivery of your order.
4. When you ask the person on the phone who has sent this package, they will repeat your name and address again and again.
5. When you specify that you want to know the sender's name and address, the person will give the common male name and provide no address of this fictitious sender.
6. Names of sender will be something which you can't find anywhere because it is common male name such as "Deepak Verma". There will be no company name, no name of any website such as Amazon, Flipkart or anything else in these sender names.
7. When you tell this shadowfax caller that how a courier company does not know sender's address or contact details - how will courier company return the package if I don't accept it -
- the shadowfax employee will start shouting at you saying - "you are cancelling the order so shut up" - and then he will disconnect the phone.
8. Then at night you will get SMS saying you have cancelled your order from . For checking the "issue faced by shadowfax" please click here.
9. Now this link will work - but only two things will be shown at this link - "Shipment is out for delivery" and "Shipment is Cancelled" with the date and time.
- that is the only tracking information
10. There is no other information which is seen in every other courier company such as - where and when the courier was booked, where and when it was in transit, hub / warehouse, etc.
11. On top there will be an order number and "order from" will show the useless fictitous name - any common name such as "Deepak Verma" etc.
12. AT THIS LINK you will also see that it is a CASH ON DELIVERY ORDER - without any details of amount to be collected.
13. NO COURIER COMPANY can send anonymous packages with tracking and cash collection without knowing the Sender. Even India Post Office VPP for cash on delivery requires sender's address since if the parcel is not accepted they have to return it.
- All Courier Companies definitely have sender's address and contact details.
14. SHADOWFAX.IN is the "person" creating these Fake Orders. No person or business can do this without support from a courier company.
15. Never accept or sign for any package if you don't know the sender. Once you have paid, then you have to claim refund from "Seller". A Courier Company has nothing to do with refunds or customer disputes for orders delievered by them.
- this way Shadowfax.in remains indemnified from any claims or actions against them.
- and you will never be able to find this fictitious Seller who shipped you "Your Order".
16. www.shadowfax.in will provide no Helpdesk phone number of any of their offices and there is no reply if you call the number which was asking for directions to your address. Their email address is also without any replies. They actually have no offices except one in Bangalore.
