Shine.com cheated in the name of Job assistance promising to find me a job within 10 - 15 days. I clearly told my requirement right from my first call that my only requirement is the designation and location. They spoke in the way that they have companies where there are immediate opening for my profile but just that the employers would look for certification on leadership.
My first payment for their job assistance service was dated 20/04/2018 Rs. 3103.00. The first person with whom I spoke arranged for a call with his HR for further assistance in job search.

I got the call on 20/04/2018 informed that I need to make a further payment of Rs.12, 343.00 for services like Resume writing, employee verification, LinkedIn & Naukri profile updating etc. These were not informed to me during the first call but I paid as I really was looking for another job.

After that again I was called by the 2nd person from Shine and he said he is going to put me to his Boss who will guide and assist me with job search. The 3rd person said that there are opening right now for my profile and location but for that the employers require my profile to be leadership certified. He assured me that I’ll get the job within 10 to 15 days as there are openings and the more delay I make the more chances are those openings be filled. He pressurized me for immediate payment as the job will not wait and had to immediately start the profiling. I was upset because these requirements were not told to be in the beginning and had I known I would have not gone for this service as I don’t have money I had to borrow. The 3rd person promised that this is the final payment towards for my profile for Rs 40K approximately. I asked for email confirmation and I received email from his Boss (email attached). They send me link for Rs 41, 076.00 to make the payment on 24/04/2018. Once I paid that amount 3rd person informed that they will send me the link for next payment or the 2nd half of another 40K. I was shocked. He said I have paid only the first half and there is a 2nd process to it. I told him that he never said about a second process. Even in the email says that a payment 40 k payment for 2 processes and not 40 k for 2 each. This was cheer cheating. I was so upset but he asked me to make the remaining payment immediately only then they can work on the final profiling and so that can send my resume to the employers. In the call he said if I didn’t get the job withing 10- 15 days for sure he will refund the payment. So I borrowed and paid the 2nd payment of Rs. 43, 933.00 on 24/04/2018.

The he said he is going to put me through his boss to discuss about the job assistance. I was put through the 4th person from Shine who spoke about the kind of assistance I’ll get and that a dedicated team will be assigned to me and that I’ll get the job shortly. There will be a minimum of 3 to 5 job links will be send to me every week and that a team will help me with the interview process. Informing this he said for that I need to enroll for more certification. I was shouted and was upset, he spoke so much about the opportunity and that I shouldn’t miss this but I told him to provide me the service for whatever I paid and disconnected the call. Later 4th person from Shine called me again and said that if his Boss (5th person) is taking a profile then there should be a reason and not to spoil my chances of getting the job. He knows for sure he should have some opening in a company matching my profile otherwise he wouldn’t take a case. We have less time and nearing month end and also there is no way that a mid level leadership opening will be known in the job search. I told him I don’t have money but he was like you can pay it with CC but not to miss this opportunity when we are almost in the final stage of your profile. I was upset that I have to borrow the money and also now that I have paid him so much and didn’t wanted to give up as I was desperately looking for a job. I made a payment of Rs: 53, 150.00. Again they came up with stories like I have paid the first half and to make the next half they will send me the link. It was a crazy situation for me. They made use of my situation and enrolled for different Leadership and HR online courses stating they are helpless as these are employer requirements. Then I paid the second time Rs. 56, 640.00.

After two more days 5th person from Shine called and said there is one last final payment I have to make. I refused straight away but then he said his boss wanted to talk to me and there is no harm in talking to his Boss. Again I told 6th person about all my concerns and the way his team and company make me pay for hidden charges and services. I said I am not going to make any payment and to provide the service for which I actually contacted them. He spoke to me for long time saying why should I spoil the chances of getting good placements. Now they are in final stage of my profile. The moment I paid this final payment they will immediately work with the team who can then delicately work on job assistance. He said they are not a cheating company but that they are of Hindustan Times and no fraudulent kind of stories. Though I had to go through a tough pace o[censored]sing my CC and borrowing for interest I decided to pay this final payment as I was desperately looking for a job. So I paid the final payment of 41, 076 on 30th April.

All these payment transactions happened in less than 7 working days. I got back to back calls from their team either for payment or on the resume writing or online course enrollment. The customer service people called about the giving the online course details and said that by taking up the course they are not assuring any job assistance. I said this to one of the person assigned to my profile and he said the team who is gonna work in my profile are different and not to worry.

I got enrolled for nearly 13 online courses. But after that as they promised that I will get minimum 3 to 5 job links for my profile every week and that I need to choose and confirm for the interviews did not happen. Instead there was no call from these 4-5 people who where so interested about my profile selling their online courses. When I started following with them the very people who said where responsible for my profile didn’t respond to my calls and emails. After my 10th time of calling anyone will attend the call but will say they will either arrange for a call back from their boss or that they will check the status and will get back to me. But they didn’t return the call. It was so disappointing. I got one call from Round One (Shine partner) who arranged for a call with an interviewer but that didn't happened. Informed shine but none responded.

After much followups and I got to know after two months that the people who actually were working on in job assistance is not Shine but their partner Aspirations (Shine partner). I spoke to the person with whom my profile was assigned. She said that the service for which I was enrolled is for 6 months and it is tough to get the job for my requirement, but she is working on it. I told her that I was promised job withing 10 to 15 days. She said she is not aware about the way the service was sold to me by Shine and that she can’t give any assurance of that kind but she will help me.

I send multiple email copying all the people and their boses but no one responded. Finally, I emailed Shine team (All) on 30th May 2018 asking them to refund the amount that I have paid them. Because I didn't approach Shine to get enrolled for multiple online coursed but for job assistance. But none from that team even bothered to respond to my email. I am disputing the entire amount of Rs 2, 51, 321.00 that I paid them for their service. I never approached Shine to enroll me for any online courses I approached them for job assistance. But they failed desperately by giving false promises to meet their sales target.

Except for one or two online courses I have not touched any. Please ask them to remove me off from those courses and to refund the amount I payment them. I have recorded the calls with the team. If need be I can send it. Please help me in getting a refund of of Rs 2, 51, 321.00. Not only that I didn’t get the job it's more than 3 months but this has put me in great trouble of paying the interest for this huge amount. Please help me in getting the refund of Rs 2, 51, 321.00.
