Sony India — concerned about the integrity

We purchased a sony tv 22 inch from sheethal electronics pariyaram a subsidiary of whitemart, chalakudy, kerala. As usual we were expecting sony service repairs to come and install the tv. But the store owner with one of his friends came for installation. Feeling doubtful. We checked and found the product is a used one and warranty period was already over. We talked to the store owner and he agreed to take it back, upon we came back with tv. He demanded 50% for wear and tear. As this was bought by mother who is aged 66 she has to wait a month until we come back and take it to return as due to her i'll health she can't carry herself. For a non used tv from our end i don't think i need to give 50% of the cost. Also if no reply from your end i am planning to give a case for cheating an old woman with an used tv with expired warranty.
