Sony India — Faulty led tvs | |||
I had bought TWO LED SONY TVs on 17/04/2013 for Rs. 54, 900/- each. I was not told about extended warranty on the items at the time of purchase. (Serial Nos. - 3299147 and 3299041) On 9/12/2014, one Tv (Serial No.[protected] went onto red light blinking six times and the panel needed to be replaced. Sony did not charge for it as the TV had not even completed 2years and the company also agreed. On 28/11/2015, the second TV (Serial No.[protected] developed an automatic on/off problem after 3 hours. The service center could not identify the exact problem and returned the TV after servicing it. The TV worked okay for a few days and then went onto the red light blinking six times. I have been informed by the service center on 8/12/2015 that this TV also needs panel replacement and SONY india is not ready to forego the cost even though the TV has not even completed 3years. Both TVs bought are high price items of SONY India and one does not expect such serious faults in the product in such a short span of time. The cost of repair needs to be waived off and also the TV sets need to be replaced by SONY India to keep the integrity of the company and good will of the consumer. If not, I will never be able to purchase any SONY consumer product and will be forced to take strict action in the consumer forum. Avila Srivastava Was this information helpful? | |||
