Sony India — kdl-43w950d led tv panel issues

problem with SONY 43W950D. I bought this tv in 2017.Soon i got a problem with it. TV switches off automatically.When checked with SONY, they told me that there is problem with a board in it and replaced it. With in 2 to 3 months, i am now again facing the same issue. Dont know when it switches ON and not sure when it switches OFF - on its own.

This model picture and sound clarity in no doubt are awesome. But with the re occuring problems, i feel bad with my decision in purchasing it.

Keep out SONY as it is not securing its value any more.

I had purchased the Sony Bravia LED TV model KDL-43W950D in October 2016 at a staggering price of Rs.67, 000. Even before completion of 2nd year of purchase the power card had become faulty. The replacement of faulty power card had cost around Rs.5000. And now after another 2 years or so the display has started giving problems. Horizontal and Vertical lines had started to come. After raising the complaint the Sony service team representative is asking for another Rs 13000 for the replacement of faulty display card. Its too much of an expense. Sony should replace these faulty boxes. This kind of quality products and service is not all expected. Would never recommend anyone to buy these costly, worthless boxes. Its better to go for other cheap brands and keep on changing the TVs for every 2-3 years.

I had purchased Sony Bravia Led TV KDL - 43W950D in October 2016 paying 70, 000. Within 4 years, the TV would not start, and I had to replace the motherboard paying 12.5K. After a couple of months, the adapter stopped working and I had to pay 4K to buy a new one. This week, we are facing a new issue with display, and I am told that the TCon board has to be replace, which I think will cost me another 9K (including taxes), based on initial estimate given. Feel so cheated to spend more than 25% of the TV cost in less than 5 years. I feel this model itself is faulty. Do not recommend anyone to buy these costly, useless Bravia TV's and go for cheaper models from MI. Seems to me that Sony is cheating customers with low quality, costly products.

I Did purchased the KDL-43W950D Model in 2016 for 65K Had screen turning off issues in first 2 year . The technician cleaned internal parts and it got resolved but now after 6 years display is giving issues. Sony technician is saying 22k for replacement with no warranty. What is the use of paying such a huge amount to get number 1 TV if there are regular issues. Sony is losing its quality. It’s better to get cheap TV.

POOR SONY SERVICE SUPORT.
Sony W950D, 43 inch purchased in 2017 for 70K. It had stopped working with white blue screen & red blinking. Sony service personnel came & informed colour panel has gone out and they don't have spare and charged Rs.266 for this information. He told that Sony company will replace a new tv with offer. But Sony company has made an offer for 75L model 43" for 58000 stating that MRP is 99900 & they offer 42% discount. But the price quoted in Sony Centre online itself is only 70K. We can able purchase this even less than 58K from online/ stores with offers & exchange. Sony deserves no value & Ethics. It has worst service support. It seems foolish to purchase Sony product which is very costly comparatively & deserving no value for it.
