I had purchased a TV (Sony Bravia) from Next store Guwahati (Model no.KLV-32CX350, serial no.[protected] in May 2012. I walked into the store looking for a television. The sales guys told me that this TV (the one I bought) was a very good TV and would function without any trouble for a minimum of 10 years. I am so disheartened to now know that it has worked for just over 3 years and the display is ruined. I hardly watch TV and hence it is not even a case of TV running overtime etc. When I called up the next store guys, they told me they were upset to hear about this and that only a few TVs with perhaps a manufacturing defect start giving trouble so soon. They have also told me that since the warranty period is over, I will need to pay for the display screen which would cost nothing less than 12k.
It is not fair that a TV I was so excited about when I first purchased, had such a short lifespan. And that too a TV from a globally progressive company like Sony!
I request a scrutiny of what caused it to stop functioning and if you believe it is a company defect, to help provide a replacement of the display. Was this information helpful? |
