Sony India — my experience at sony service centre-haldia | |||
I am sharing my personal experience at sony service centre at haldia. After i got transferred to haldia - a small town about 130 km away from kolkata, i was very happy to find a sony authorized centre. On 19.6.17 i gave my sony music system for repair (Copy enclosed) as the cd/dvd chamber was not opening. The person present said they will check and inform whether they can repair and what amount i have to pay. After about 10 days they informed that it will repaired and estimated amount will be rs 2600/- on 28.6.17 i went and made payment of advance rs 2000/- (Enclosed receipt) since they informed as per their rules they won’t start the job unless 80% advance payment is made. End of july after several follow up they informed that the job has been completed. When i and my mrs. Went to collect the set we found that both the top cd slots has been broken. There are two cd slots. On top one side of the cd was broken before which they had already mentioned in the service job sheet (Enclosed) but the other one was ok. Though i had told them to repair the one cd slot. Instead of repairing they had broken the other one also. When i said this we were literally abused and told that both of cd slots were broken and we were lying. When i showed the service job sheet to them then they told “ who told you to give us for repair” as if they were giving some free service and obliging us by repairing my old set. Such kind o[censored]nruly behavior is not expected from a company like sony. When i told that i am going to complain then they said to keep the set for few more days for repair of my cd slot which they had broken. Finding no other alternative i left the set with them. On 21.8.17 i received the set and paid rs. 3075/- in cash as they said they do not take any other mode of payment other than cash but they did not issue any receipt or invoice since they told that their billing system was not working. I don’t know what amount was the service charge and tax they had charged. It is against the law of the land to take money in cash and not to issue invoice especially from sony service centre. I am totally dissatisfied by such type of behavior and service. M/s naosa electronics (P) ltd –sony authorized service centre should be immediately closed since they are damaging the name of sony.
