I purchased Sony Bravia KDL43W300D Android tv four years back only. Last week it went out of order, there were no pictures on screen but only colored lines. I got registered a complaint vide service I'd no. 70159502 on Sony India customer care on June3, 2022.
which was transferred to their Vaishali Ghaziabad service center for resolution.
The engineer first told us to replace Tkon board @16200/- INR (which seemed very hafty considering my purchase price was approx INR.55000/-). Seeing no option I consented.
But after 2-3days I again received a call from the service centre telling me that the part was not available so either I take back my faulty unit back home (a no-option sort as there is no point of keeping non-functional tv set at home) or I go for an exchange. They want me to exchange my four years old unit with another one of the same value by paying a price of additional Rs.34, 000/-INR.
I find myself cornered by the company Sony India whom I have trusted for the last more than 20years. I really don't know what to do except request the company to come out with a better exchange offer.
Submitting this to SONY INDIA for a favorable resolution at the earliest.
