I bought a sony bravia hd tv model – klv-48w562d on 20th aug 2016 from croma showroom situated at crown interiors mall, faridabad.
All of sudden its started hanging on 10th june 2017 and screen was washed out completely on 11th june 2017. I called sony customer support and lodged a complaint, engineer arrived 2nd day and said that screen is completely faulty.
He came with screen today and replaced it, within 30 mins after he went same problem started and tv screen was hanged and display was off. My wife called him again, he came back within few minutes and put the previous screen again, problem is not yet resolved. It is really disgusting that he went without solving the problem.
My question to sony india is below -
1) is it the quality they are selling in india that tv gets into a major fault within 10 months of purchase.
2) what is the guarantee that after it is repaired somehow will not get faulty.
3) right now its under warranty and being repaired free of cost, what if such substandard product gets faulty after warranty period.
4) what kind of r&d and maintenance team does sony (I) has that they are not able to fix the problem in last 4 days.
This complete tv should be replaced immediately with new one as it has gone into a major fault within 10 months, its a substandard product of sony and company is cheating consumers, a middle class person who invests huge amount to buy and sony (I) ensures that they are able to earn good money through services too in future.
