On 21st of January I registered a service via toll free for black patches on my sony x9000h tv.
The person from Star Electronics, New Delhi came to my house for pickup on 30th jan and accordingly i paid the pick up charges. I had received a call on 4th February that the panel was changed and the tv has to be delivered to my address. As i was in office i asked them to deliver after evening or during weekends.
On this the guy simply said okay.
I didn't receive any call after that, when I gave them call on 8th feb they told me they it will be delivered today. However the person called me again and asked me for covid negative report to which i said why does he needs that.
The person went on his point and demanded negative report and said that the tv won't be delivered unless report is provided. I was shocked as to what is the relationship between delivery and covid report.
Since I required my tv, I gave them a report conducted recently to which the "qualified service " person that the report is inconclusive. I can't believe sony has put such smart people who cant even read a report. Anyways, after even sending the report and multiple calls and follow up, I haven't yet received the tv as on 13th feb. Neither did i receive any communication from the service centre, they stopped taking calls on all the numbers.
The highly acclaimed sony support has only one line that they repeat, "we assure that it will be delivered very soon."
I don't understand, why would you need covid report for delivery of my tv. And even if i gave so, which i was not supposed to, the tv was not delivered yet and no response is being provided. Was this information helpful? |
