I purchased the system on 22/12/2015 and have hardly used the system for 30 hrs till date. Ref.Product 8D no.13060681, serial no.3302713. Invoice no.S008232 dt.22/12/2015 from M/s.FRIDGE HOUSE, Thrissur - 680001. Three weeks back, when I was watching a movie, the system switched off and each time I tried to switch on, the unit would immediately switch off.
I reported the complaint to M/s.Access Electronics, Sony authorised service centre, Thrissur - 680006 vide complaint no.5287. The service Engineer who inspected the product and advised for getting the Unit serviced by Chiyyaram service centre and the Main Unit was taken away on 17/8/2016 by m/s Access Electronis for repairs (Job no.J61997547 dt.17.08.2016 and complaint no.[protected]. I am told today that some part has got burnt and order for the replacement part has been made which would take some time to arrive.
I am a great admirer of Sony products and trust them for their quality, long life and fault free working. I have purchased Sony Bravia - KLV-46V400A sl.no.1201288 on 26.08.2008 and replaced the same with Sony LED KLV-48R562C on 23.12.2015 when the mother board of the KLV-46V400A went into repair after 7 1/2 years of good performance. I purchased MUTEKI 1550 W in 2010 and it is still going fine. I use only Sony DVD players, Sony laptop, Sony mobiles (K790i and Sony Xperia), all because of the trust in Sony brand.
I am really surprised that your MUTEKI 1950W developed repair after sparse usage. I feel that once the unit has gone into repair, there is chance of some problem or other occurring again and again. Since the Main Unit had been purchased by me only seven months back and used sparingly, I request you to replace the Main Unit (rather than giving me a repaired unit) with a brand new unit (preferably Singapore make) and thus reinforce my faith in quality and service of Sony products.
I really hope that you would understand my sentiment and make me happy with a brand new unit.
