Ad purchased a sony play station 4 from HongKong in March 2015 with a valid Invoice.
Recently the console just turned off suddenly and since then doesn't turn on.
Had taken it to a Sony service center where they informed that it will not be repaired but can only be replaced and I'll have to pay 70% of the Present cost for replacing the unit..

This am finding very absurd and hard to digest as always trusted brand Sony, as it being such a reputed company and had purchased the gaming console keeping he same trust in mind as had myself had an experience when my imported sony handycam was repaired FOC, as the problem detected was found to be a faulty part and there were many similar complaints...
This had increased my trust in the brand for keeping the customers satisfaction in mind and accepting their own mistake.
In this case when I browse the net, the problem of Ps4 not turning on with blue light coming on for a second with a beep is very prevalent and is being faced by a number of customers. Even the playstation Forum have many customers complaining about the same problem.
I expect Sony to have the unit atleast repaired as have not brought a unbranded Chinese product from the road side that has no warranty if it breaks down, have brought a product of a highly branded company by paying a large amount irrespective of which country I have purchased it from, have brought it legally and it should be made serviceable as the defect is most probably due some defective manufactured part and not from the consumers end.
Pl revert back with a apt solution of my problem and reinstate my trust in the brand...
