Standard Chartered Bank — Manhattan CC ending 4777- Crad closed 10 years ago shows an overdue of Rs. 1,21,141/- | |||
Recently I got to know from my CIBIL report, a SCB credit card account number ([protected]) is shown as written off with outstanding Rs. 1, 21, 141/-. On inquiry with Standard chartered bank, I got to know that the due is for a Manhattan credit card- [protected], Which was closed in April, 2006. Jan, 2006 - Due was around Rs. 40K Feb, 2006 - Paid Rs. 41000/- on 03-Feb, 06. However bill due shown was 43K Apr, 2006 - Wrong late fees and interest were charged and again bill due shown was Rs. 4010/- On customer care complaint about unnecessary late fees with a lady officer, (don’t remember her name), she agreed to revert the late fees and interest charges of Rs. 2010/-. I paid the rest of amount Rs. 2000/- and card was closed in Apr, 06. No more bill received after Apr, 2006 since the credit card was closed. No further mail received for any dues or any statements. The amount Rs 2010/- which was supposed to be reverted was not reverted. I am informed by customer care that Rs. 2010/- due has become 1.2+ Lacs now. Since it is 10 year old card for which I don't have any old statements and closure letters. I would request SCB officer to revert these penalties and clear my CIBIL records ASAP.
