I had booked star city car service (from Kandivali west to mumbai domestic airport) on 16-04-10 at around 10pm for service on 17-04-10 at 12:30 pm. i was confirmed with the booking, driver name ARVIND, his contact no [protected]. when i called up the driver at 12:30 pm sharp, he was still a goregaon(but he told me he is at inorbit malad, which he disclosed when i called him again after 15min). after all he said i m not coming, because i am detained by traffic police(i think, another lie). i had to ask my brother to ferry the guests to airport.
when i called up the booking no on 42111111, they said we can only file a complaint against the driver.
now my question is if the flight is missed, who is responsible. will the company compensate?
also, if the driver can lie to customer on phone, how honest he will be while a girl is travelling alone. who will be responsible?
also, isnt it the responsibility of the authority issuing the license to do such business, to check wether their practice is fair or no?.

Spot Citi Taxi Bangalore — No show of taxi
I had a night bus to catch and knowing well and truly of how this company works. I called up in the morning at 9:00 am to get a booking for a service at 10:00 pm ( bus was destined for departure at 10:30 pm). Nice, call was answered correctly. With an assurance that the cab would be available for me at 9:45 itself. All goes fine till evening 8:30 pm. No confirmation from them, hence decided to call up. Assurance was given stating that the taxi will be available at the appointed time. 9:45pm driver calls up and says that he is on his way and reaches the destination and asks me where I am? To my dismay, I called up the call center and horror or horrors, they tell me that the driver has gone off and I told in the rudest of manners to go take a hike if I need to get to my bus on time. Thankfully managed to find an alternative mode of transport and some how managed to get into a running parents with my aged parents.!!! I thought atleast courtesy sake they would call me up later to apologise, nothing happens.This was Friday. I called back on Monday to speak / raise a complaint with the manager. They dilly dally around saying that the managers are out of town. what about the manager's manager? Things started to turn really bad finally since nothing has been done. I have decided to put it out here so that others will atleast know how unprofessional this taxi service in this age of competition. Phew. Thats the last time I have decided to use the spot citi taxi service in Bangalore.
