[Resolved]  State Bank Of India — Demat Account Opening

Sir, I am having saving bank account no.[protected] in your bank at Kalkaji Branch. I am facing lots of difficulty in opening of my Demat Account due to continuance lying and irresponsible behavior of SBI Demat Account officials of SBI at Nehru Place Branch particularly for the last 45 days. I would like to lodge my complaint in this regard and state that In the month of November 2014 I wanted to open Demat Account in joint name myself and in the name of my spouse. As instructed by SBI official at Kalkaji Branch I got included the name of my spouse in the above mentioned saving bank account. Thereafter i was asked by kalkaji branch to go to Nehru Place Branch for opening up the Demat account. In the first week of December 2014 probably on 2nd December 2014 I reached at Nehru Place branch of SBI. Ms.Nisha the incharge of Demat account at Nehru Place Branch was not available as she left branch at 1.00 p.m. because her mother is not well. I was asked to come next day as she has left the office. When I went again with my wife on 05.12.2014, Ms Nisha was again not available in the branch. On the request of mine another official called Ms Nisha on her mobile No.[protected] and I also spoke to her at 12.43 p.m. Consequently, one lady looking after the SBI credit card in the branch was instructed by Ms. Nisha to get the form filed up and take requisite documents. Reluctantly she gave me the two Demat opening forms and as per her instructions I gave her requisite documents and both (my wife and I) signed on relevant places on two separate forms. Shockingly on 10.12.2014 Ms Nisha called me on my mobile and intimated that the I have to again sign on the form. Next day on 11.12.2014 I again went to Nehru Place branch after repeatedly calling Ms Nisha and confirming that she should be available in the branch so that all the formalities must be done once for all. Surprisingly, Ms. Nisha was again missing from the branch because her husband was not well. However, I signed on the requisite places and left the branch. On 13.12.2014 I told by Ms. Nisha called me on my mobile and intimated that the copy of the PAN Card of my wife is must for opening the joint demat account. I was given number of Mr. Imam Hussain who is team leader of Demat account and sits at Head Office Sansad Marg New Delhi. His mobile number is [protected]. I registered my protest verbally for causing delay hence he promised me to help in the matter and intimated me that the PAN Card of my wife is must. I applied the PAN Card with the income tax authorities and after two week the PAN Card number was issued. On the next day copy of PAN Card of my wife collected by some Mr. Jha from me. Now, three days back I was informed by Ms. Nisha again that due to oversight signature of my wife is still required at some places in the form and she will send Mr. Jha again with the form to get the signatures. Now for the last three days Mr. Jha has not come to get the requisite signature. I am fed up with the lackluster attitude of SBI officials named above hence, lodging my grievances and complaint against them. It is requested to look into the matter and action taken again these irresponsible officials may be communicated to me at the earliest. Otherwise In the above scenario I have left with no option but to close my 30 years old SBI saving account. I enclosed copy my mobile bill wherein I have marked the mobile number of above mentioned officials with arrow in support of my statement. However, copy of the mobile bill will be sent later on as and when received from the Idea company wherein the proof of number of calls made after 22.12.2014 can be ascertained.
