State Bank Of India (SBI) — ATM debit card used by some other person but debit card is with me | |||
Hi, I have SBI ATM debit card and i have requested ATM pin through online on 03-Aug-2015. But today (04-Aug-2015) somebody tried to withdraw the money from ATM machine 44292001 between 2:52PM to 2:59PM using my debit card. At that time i have received 8 messages from "IK-ATMSBI" saying that Message 1 (2times 2:52PM and 2:54PM): " Dear customer, your txn at ATM 44292001 declined. Please transact at any State Bank group ATM for activation of your Debit Card ". Message 2 (6times from 2:53PM to 2:59PM): " Dear customer, for security reasons your card no xxxx8806 blocked for the day for entering wrong PIN thrice at ATM 44292001. " At that time i sat in my office located Gachibowli, Hyderabad and i checked immediately my ATM debit card, the card is with me only. Again immediately called SBI bank customer care[protected], they said please contact your home branch(located at Vinukonda, Guntur Branch, Andhra Pradesh), i said it is not possible why because the home branch is located at some other location, i am staying at some other location. Finally no use of customer care. But i strongly decided to complaint against these type of ATM fishing activities. Please provide the solution/suggestion to do from my side. Its Default message those who got new card trying to activate or generating new PIN through ATM/Net Banking. But due to security reason the card was by default blocked by the SBI, So we need to activate our card in branch itself then only we can cable to Activate and generate pin in our user profile.
without activating the card if the user tried multiple times then the record o[censored]nsuccessful attempt stored to your card number in server. Once the card got activated then all the stored messages send to corresponding user registered mobile no within 48Hrs.

Suggesting you to do the same so that we can have a proof that the matter is intimated to the bank. Now its their responsibility ti handle those issue.
After all its SBI man :) known for no service no response
