State Bank Of India [SBI] — excess amount deducted as it from pension

Sir,

1. I s chinna mariappan ex jco (Jc-245065k) was retired from army on 01 jan 2017. My ppo no is s/49827/2016 (Army), pan no is ancpm9468r, acct no[protected] paying branch sbi, sattur (Code 0961). I am receiving service pension rs 26, 933/- per month in which commutation rs 5985/- and income tax rs 1113/- is being deducted from my pension account.net pension availed is rs 19, 835/- per month.

2. My yearly income by means of pension is rs 3, 23, 196/-. Exemption of income tax ceilling limit is upto rs 2, 50, 000/-, then my excess income per year is rs 73, 196/- only. Therefore my entitled income tax will comes to rs 305/- per month on 5% tax rate.

3. From apr 2017 to oct 2017 a sum of rs 7791/- has been recovered as income tax from my pension account instead it should be recovered rs 2135/-. So that the exess amount recovered rs 5656/- may please be refund to my account at the earliest and fix my income tax rs 305/- per month.

4. I am facing financial hardship to maintain my family and my family is fully depend upon my pension only. Threfore, you are kindly requested to take necessary action at an early date and your office clarification on my petition is awaited.
