[Resolved]  State Bank Of India [SBI] — harassing and threatening calls to family and office friends

SBI Card ending with XX66. DOB - 05 Sep 1984, I am the credit card customer of SBI bank sincr last many years. There is some amount pending since last 1 years and I am paying only minimum amount due on every month. Last momth I paid 2, 800.

Now the issue is, I didnt get any call or message in February month from SBI that this is the amount I need to pay from any executive or bank. Dated 8th Feb. In the morning I got a call from one of my friend in Genpact and he was very irritated that some lady called him and talking very rudely that your colleagues Rajesh has some amount due from Govt bank.
And she asked that Rajesh gave his reference for the loan. He called me aggressively that why I gave his number as reference without his confirmation in the bank I said bro I dont know as I didnt give any reference of yours to my any bank when I asked from which bank you got a call he said dont know from which bank she was talking but that lady was behaving in very bad manner with abusive language.
Then sudden I got a call from a female friend and literally she was crying that some lady called her for the loan amount and she was using again abusive language and asked her "tera yaar kaha hai Rajesh usko bol ki bank k paise dega tum dono chor ho." And the same thing happened with the many female friends since 8th February 2019. Also most of the female friends from outstation and she was telling to my female friend that you are living in this location and your hometown pin code is this. From where SBI bank got these details.

When I dialed the same number her name was "Riya" may be this name is wrong coz she was not tellimg exact details and she was not ready to share the bank name but she is also talking with me in abusive language.

The same thing happened whole day and I was getting complaint from my Genpact colleagues means she was calling everywhere in Genpact.

I am surprised from where she got the details of my friends is there my phone got hacked or someone from Genpact helping them to provide the my personal details.

It is very sensitive matter if the details are getting hacked from my phone or someone providing the data to SBI bank.

Now, due to this incident my reputation is very down and everyone asking the what are you doing Rajesh why their references given to bank without asking them, but in credit card there is no reference required then why she was calling in Genpact with the false statement that I gave the reference of them.

I got to know that some banks hired some small scale companies to threatening and harrassing to customers which are running illegally as they dont have rights for threaten and harrasing to customers. Most of the female friends are very afraid from this issue and the words the abusive language which were using by your calls from Riya.

This is harrassing and threatening from SBI bank which should not be happend as per guidelines from RBI if I am defaulter then SBI bank can take the action legally not this way which is illegal.

On monday 12th Feb, I got a call from Reetika, she was talking that she is calling from SBI bank and I am sure she was not from bank she was from 3rd party coz she texted me that "Hii mr rajesh... I m reetika from bank.. as u knw about your pendency of credit card... Pls call me on this number.. bcz bank forwarded this case in third party and calls r going in whole genpact to ur colleagues... Pls clear ur intention?"

2nd message was "
Aapke sb colleagues se dubara bat ho rhi hai or vo genpact ke HR me aapke against mail mark kar rhe hai... So pls rajesh ji call kr lo iss number pr... Better rhega".

So, may I know is there any policy with bank that they can use this technique to recover the money from customer

Also I have a audio where your 3rd party recovery agent talking the same term will attached the audio for your reference.

I am attaching this conversation as an attachment. Where we discussed about this.

Now I just want to know, is there any policy with bank where its stated that bank can use the same technique to recover the money from customer. If yes then I am okay to pay the pending amount to bank or the same guidelines not with you then I will lodge a case in consumer court for harrasing and threatening with police FIR.

Also I am sending this email to RBI to lodge issue. If banks have the same rights to hire the gundas for threatening and harrasing for recoverthe money from customer against the RBI guidelines.
