State Bank Of India [SBI] — sbi credit card annual charges issue | |||
I am an user of sbi credit card and have been charged of 4999 rupees as the annual charges. The annual charges were added to my august 2017 month bill along with other transactions for which i had used the card, i made full payment on the card including annual charges to avoid any penalties (Interest) by the banks on full bill amount even though we make partial bill payment. I have decided to discontinue and cancel the card and do not want to pay the annual charges for the next year (Aug 2017 till aug 2018). I have made repeated requests to sbi to revert the annual charges added to the card for the next year as i am not willing to use the card for next year, but sbi is denying to revert the charges with out properly stating the reasons. On one instance i was told by the sbi customer care that there was an auto debit transaction of 482 made on my card towards bescom, so i am not eligible to get the refund. I haven't read any sbi terms and conditions that such a transaction will not refund the annual charges. More over annual charges are the charges which is incurred by the bank to maintain my card, but my request here is to cancel the card in the immediate month of adding the charges to the card which is not going to be maintained for the full year. But sbi is still expecting me to pay the complete year charges which is not a right thing. Was this information helpful? | |||
