State Bank Of India [SBI] — unauthorized / fraudulent cash withdrawal from distant atm | |||
Sir/madam, This is to bring to your notification that on 12th february 2019, the amount of rs. 20000 (Rupees twenty thousand only) in the first instance with transaction id 4047 and again rs. 2000 (Rupees two thousand only) with transaction id 4048, amounting to rs. 22000/- (Rupees twenty two thousand only) in total were debited from my savings bank no ([protected]) account through atm cash withdrawal fraudulently and in unauthorized manner from an atm located at s r dalmiya rd, madhupur, jharkhand. These withdrawals were not done by me and i was having my debit card (No. [protected]) in my possession throughout. I have not done any online transactions also within last few weeks. I did not receive any intimation regarding the said withdrawals from the branch. While checking my account through internet banking on 13.02.2019 morning, i have noticed these fraudulent transactions. Immediately i went to my branch (Sbi-behala branch) and informed the chief manager about the same. He had directed me to the atm section where i have submitted the complaint in writing. I feel that the officer concerned had taken the matter very lightly and commented “these are natural in these digital ages and it may happen to anyone.” I have tried to lodge the complaint online but was unable to do so. I have mailed my concern to the customer care and again went to the branch (On 15.02.2019 around 10.45 am) for understanding the developments regarding the matter but the officer concerned again answered me in a very lackluster way and commented "this is not a shop that i will be paying from my own pocket" My query is how come a third person got the duplicate of my debit card and withdrew the money and when bank had issued (If at all) why i was not informed. Secondly when the money was being withdrawn why i did not get any message from bank, when i have already registered my mobile for transaction related information. I request your good self to look into the matter with utmost urgency and do the needful so i get my money refunded to my account at the earliest.
