[Resolved] Tikona — harassment for fake non-payment issue - device already collected | |||||
I am writing you with regards to multiple harassment phone calls, emails and messages sent to my parents and myself by tikona employees in spite o[censored]s having disconnected the services in aug 2017 and a service man taking the rooftop device away as well in sep 2017. Please be informed that the request for disconnection was in fact raised in april 2017. Moreover, mr ranjan at [protected] (Who took the device) has confirmed to us that he sent the data to the company and as per policy destroyed it after 3 months. Which clearly means you have the records for the device being returned! Since march 2018, we have been receiving phone calls which i have henceforth marked as spam and blocked them on truecaller courtesy the tone and language of these callers claiming to be from tikona. The issue stated by them is a non-payment of rs. 1557 for the device which has already been taken by your employee. Why should i pay for a device when tikona has not returned my deposit and moreover, the device has already been taken by a tikona employee. Not only do i plainly refuse to pay the amount, i also tell them to check their records. However, today a phone call was received by me stating the person is a lawyer and that they have sent a legal notice (The fraud legal notice attached for your reference as well), for payment of rs. 1557. I have the following questions to ask you now: 1. Having worked with lawyers for my company as well, i know what a legal notice looks like. This document - i am sorry to say - is a cheap fraud copy of a legal notice and i am honestly very tempted to file this as a harassment fir with the local police station. Please find below reasons for calling this legal notice fraud: -subject/ heading legal notice is missing -body of letter vs. Letter head are two separate documents printed together. Clearly the body of the letter is used multiple times so the “lawyer” cannot be bothered to write fresh letters and instead just copy pastes? -where are the contact numbers and emails of the lawyers? What if my advocate wants to contact your advocates? Let the lawyers talk at least!!! That is how the law works in this country last i checked. -no stamp of law office. I can be a self-proclaimed lawyer tomorrow if such letters are all it takes! 2. The customer they are calling (Referring to my parents here now) are senior citizens. Retired senior citizens.in a country like india where elders are respected, trying to defraud them out of retirement funds is as cheap a tactic as can get! What are you going to do about this as the ceo of the company as this is a rampant issue as per online forums with your company and its customers? 3. There was a demand notice sent on 5th march 2018 without any authorised signatory - the pdf needed to be digitally signed to be taken as an authentic file. Yet another fraud by your company? The demand notice itself has a warning stating it needed to be digitally signed - however, i find no digital signatures as this was sent as email text and not even a pdf secure file!!! I had terminated Tikona services...I have been sent bil with termination charges.I did not buy their Modem.
