Tikona — Not closing the internet connection | |||||
Tikona is not closing my connection even I asked them in written to terminate my connection and also pasted the link of TRAI guidelines mentioning "The service provider shall terminate the connection within 7 days. They cannot charge rental or any other charges beyond the period of 7 days of request for closure made by the customer" Even after that they are clearly violating government regulations. My docket number is 1-[protected]. My User ID is [protected]. I have also notified their Appellate Authority Mr J. Nair, but nothing seems to be worked. The most annoying thing is that they are sending me false bills. Here is the mail I have sent to Tikona ======================== Hello Mr J. Nair, This is second time I am writing to you. I have requested for connection closer but yet I didn't receive any update. It is more then 2 week from the date of connection closing application. Still no update. Requesting you to provide resolution for request number 1-[protected] ASAP. There is no such professional communication TIKONA provides except auto generated mails. I need everything in written. So here is the update:
Now tikona has sent me a mail that they have initiated the disconnection for User ID [protected].
As per them I have to call Mr. Harshad/Harish at [protected] to return the CPE/Modem & other Accessories. If I fail to return the device I will have to pay Rs.1500/- as penalty.
Now Tikona the issue is that I have called to above mentioned number 3 times

from airtel number [protected] which is my registered number in case you want to verify, but he is not picking up my call.
Can you please tell me how should I go further.

Dear HEMANT SINGH DODIYA,
Service disconnections has been initiated for Your Tikona User ID [protected] as per your request.
You will not be able to use the Services now.
You will not be charged any Recurring/Rental charges after the Final Bill period in which usage is seen or request for Service disconnection was registered (whichever is later). A full month (as per Bill Period) shall be counted in case the usage/ request is for part of the bill Period. Your Bill period is indicated on your Tikona Service Bills.
We shall compute and intimate you, within 15 days, your final payable amount against above Service account. You may receive an interim Bill in this period if your bill cycle is already due. Any recurring /rental charges after your Final Bill Period, if applied in the Interim bill, shall be waived-off.
Please note that a penalty of Rs.1500/- will be applicable towards breach of terms of service in case you fail to return CPE /Modem and all accessories in working condition. You can contact our authorized representative Mr. Harshad/Harish at [protected] to return the CPE/Modem & other Accessories.
For subscription under the Advance Rental Scheme, where Service disconnection is initiated before the completion of the term, waivers and rebates provided under the scheme shall be reversed.
Service disconnections shall be completed and your account shall be closed on receipt of CPE/Modem and all accessories by the Company and Payment of all outstanding balance.
We thank you for giving us the privilege to serve you and we look forward to your association with Tikona in future.
