Times Of India — deliver charges + advance payment asked by the newspaper vendor in sector 83, gurgaon
There is an agency name riya news paper agency in new gurgaon (Vill bhangrola, imt manesar) who charges extra rs 40 for delivering the newspaper to our door step. I lived in palam vihar for 12 years and never ever paid any delivery charges. Why it is here in new gurgaon? Not only delivery charges, vendor monu yadav, maha singh yadav and neeraj yadav are taking the monthly charges in advance. When we asked why you are charging in advance, they said it happens in new gurgaon and if you want newspaper you have pay in advance. When we refused to pay in advance, they stopped the newspaper and said do whatever you want to do. This kind of practice should be stopped as it spoils the name of newspaper companies like times of india as well. They say that we have to pay to the company in advance and they also charge delivery from us. This is not a fair practice at all. Was this information helpful?

I also live in Sec83 Gurgaon. The Riya News Agency vendor Neeraj Yadav charges Rs 70 extra per month as delivery charges for one paper. I take two. So have to cough up Rs 140.extra in addition to the cost of the papers, and that too in advance. Pl take steps to stop this practice in the interest of the readers and the print media.
