I have subscribed for the annual package to receive TOI, however, the delivery does not happen on a daily basis. This week I only received the paper 3 times which is after calling the person who is in charge of this area (Kondapur - Hyderabad). No one calls me back to check if the issue is resolved and the same thing goes on and on.

This is an absolute waste of my time and money. I need someone to look into this, if not, please cancel and refund my money. If not, I will have to take this to the consumer forum.

Updated by Vishalkv31 The issue continues and I have not heard back from anyone on the time of India team. I managed to find another email ID for their grievance team and here is a copy of the email I have sent yesterday.

Hi Team,

I am writing to you regarding newspaper delivery issues. My customer ID is [protected]. Other details are mentioned here;

I signed up for the annual subscription around the 10th of July 2021 and was told the delivery would begin on the 16th of July 2021. This was not the case! The amount of 769.00 INR was debited from my account on 16th July 2021 but the first delivery was made on 26th July 2021 which was after making several phone calls. First, I called the customer care, which did not help at all. Then I called the person who came home to take the cheque for subscription amount. He gave me another person’s number, who then gave me another person’s number and finally, I was asked to contact one Mr.Shravan on [protected] who handles the distribution for the Kondapur area.
The problem – in the one month that I was supposed to receive the newspaper on a daily basis (26th July to 25th August), I have not received it for almost 13 days. Everytime this happens, I have to call Mr.Shravan who only tells me that he will check on the issue and call me back, but never called back till date. As of last Saturday (21st August 2021), he has stopped taking my calls and not returned my calls till date. The same happened this morning (no newspaper, called this man, never answered).

I had sent an email regarding this issue to crm.[protected]@timesgroup.com on the 22nd of July but haven’t heard back till date.

Due to the ongoing issues, and not having heard back from any of you, I have filed a complaint with the consumer forum. You will soon be contacted by them. Complaint ID is 2965366.

My only request to TOI is to please cancel my subscription and refund my entire amount due to the pathetic service. I do not wish to continue with this torture.

If not contacted and refunded, i will have to pursue the complaint further along with issues of harassment and torture.
