[Resolved]  Toyota Etios — Poor quality of seats in toyota etios

I purchased my car in october 2011 and i was satisfied with the over all performance of the car except one thing related to quality of seats that toyota is providing is extremely poor. My back seat locks came out in couple of months and i kept on running the vehicle either using glue or kept on adjusting the seat as it is pretty costly rs. 7500 for a piece of form with two plastic hooks that attach the seat in the body of the car. I finally spent rs. 7500 today and got my car seat replaced. But when i looked at the quality of seat form, it is more pathetic than its original seat. I don't know how come brand like toyota can approve such degraded material in their cars and this is making toyota a brand that a customer can't trust anymore. Toyota is a brand which is known for customer satisfaction. I am not sure with such low grade quality on basic component of a car like seat, for how long they will be able to gain customer confidence.
Worst part is the entire foam piece where lock is attached is broken. Such a bad quality of seat. And we have to replace entire seat due to these broken lock area. There is no fixes available and the seat costs around 7500 rupees.

I am prepared already waiting for a day to get my Etios VX (Generation 1 ) Backseats to exhibit any kinda of problem, I had a chance to put a new seat cover around 20k . The person who made the seat cover showed me the pathetic condition of back seat. I saw a simple grill which was getting rusty very fast and a thin layer of Foam attached to it.. By looking at the Seats, I found that it was made by Tata Johnson control of some thing. I am still wondering how can a back seat mesh ( skeleton) getting rusty eventhough it is a full time single user ( driver ) car.

I have good experience with the suspension and back side springs too .. It was making noise when ever I get in to the hump. Told Nandi toyota Hosur road Service repsin Bangalore . No action taken So no entries in their system. I felt cheated when I went to service for 50k, I found a good service advisor in the Nandi HRBR Layout service centre.. I told the problem . He told me that you are late in the game .If you would have told me with in the warranty period, I would have taken care of this. I wondered why in hosur road they didn't help me . Forget it . If I didn't say on time ( If I think worst case from a dealer perspective too), why these folks take a test drive after the service.. Also It was a known issue for most of these Toyota cars ( all Cab drivers whom I met told me this explicity who have this Gen1 series of cars) These annoying sounds due to fron suspendion and and uncomfortable back seats issues due to non responsive springs were very easy to locate . These should have taken care easily..

I am now in lookout for independent service centers, as I lost trust in the Service from Nandi after loosing money of 11k Close for all these replacement,

The bottom line.. . Please recommend other not to buy this car.. as it is a kirloskar car .. Not toyota which I used to drive in other countries.
