UniverCell — Negligence to provide support

Hi, It has been a terrible experience with Univercell recently. When purchasing a product, they act very calm and peaceful. However, when getting back to them for any after sales support, them customer service/experience is a ridiculous. I purchased a Nokia 101 handset on 18/10/2013 from the Univercell Koramangala Branch for Rs. 1650/- Invoice Number (UKA) : 2547779 IMEI Number : [protected] After purchase I was able to use the handset for about a week's time. However, after that the handset wouldn't detect an networks. I tried on both the SIM slots and nothing worked. Followed the instructions on the Receipt/Invoice provided by Univercell and approached the Indira Nagar Nokia Service Center under the impression that the issue would be resolved. Nokia had it for 3 weeks and finally decided to return the product stating that there are unable to fix the issue as there is a Network Error on the mobile. I was patient and followed their instructions and visited the Univercell, Koramangala branch for further support on this as this was my place of purchase. I spoke with VENKAT( Emp Id 7068) who informed that they will need to resend the handset to Nokia again to check again. I was still OK with what he said. Meanwhile, I was told that I will be contacted in "ONE DAY". I waited, waited and waited for a weeks time and today received a call from VENKAT and visited the store. He said that Univercell will not be able to take any liability as it was not their problem and was Nokia's. He was reluctant, rude and wouldn't listen to half of the things said to him. There was a point that he started yelling at the situation and started blaming me as if I was the one who made the mistake. He claims that Univercell checked with Nokia and was informed that it was a motherboard problem on the phone. I was fed up talking with him about this. The best part is he din't even know if he had an Employee ID Number. Is that how Univercell works? I asked for his Surname and was said he din't have any. Things get even more worser, after reuesting to speak to the Store Manager. The Manager wasn't around so I was alright to wait for him. Informed Venkat about the same. He spoke to the Manager, who neglect to address the situation. He said that he wouldn't be able to come to the location and was insisting me to speak to him over the phone. The Store's respectable/honourable Manager, Mr. NAGABUSHAN seemed to be very busy and neglected to come to the location even though VENKAT requested him twice. The customer service received was unacceptable and was ridiculous. The way Univercell has treated has been terrible. Now they claim that they have a Univercell Service Center and would be sending the handset to check if something can be done. I am still waiting for a reply form them. Let's see how long this would take! People be careful !!! Beware !!! Regards, Rodney Mendez
