I had called urban Company for washing machine repair. The only issue was water not draining out. The technician checked and said the drain pipe has to be replaced and PCB has to be repaired. He removed the panel for repairing the PCB. I asked him if there was any other issue and he told me to not worry as the machine was perfect otherwise. He also said that Siemens machines are the most silent machines. I paid Rs.4428/- including labour charges. When he got the part back it was badly scratched for which UC compensated with 1000 UC credits. The service technician did not wait for the full cycle and said it’s working fine now. I had a prior commitment and when I got back I started the washing machine when it started making a weird noise. They sent another technician who now tells me that the drum assembly needs to be replaced which will cost me Rs.8500/- This problem arose after the first service guy replaced and serviced the said parts. If there was a drum issue why did he not say earlier when he came to check. Instead he told me the machine was absolutely fine.
When I called UC they are not ready to understand and the representative is telling me that the only thing he can say is I have to pay for it. They are asking for time to look into it when I insisted but I’m very certain they will go beyond the warranty period and then say sorry we can’t do anything. All I am saying is that the machine was in excellent condition and was damaged during service and why should I have to pay for something which is not my fault. Was this information helpful? |
