Urban Company — washing machine general service | |||
On may 20th, i filed a request with urban company (Also called urban clap) for general service & sound correction of my perfectly working washing machine. The technician, mr. Nooruddin who was assigned to me, told me that the pcb board, the motor, capacitor all needed repair. 2 days later, he came back saying parts have been procured. He charged me rs. 4698/-, for parts and labour, which i paid. For your information, this amount is 25% the original cost of the washing machine. After he left, i inspected the washing machine and to my dismay, found it was not working. I tried escalating this issue with urban company who promised to have it looked into. The same technician came back after 2 days and informed me that the wiring system needs to be replaced. He left again with motor, capacitor, pcb unit and wiring unit, leaving behind an empty shell of the washign machine. I have been trying to reach out to both the technician as well as urbancompany for days now. Neither is the technician responding, nor is their customer service able to solve this. From may 20th till now, 12 days have passed. My family is sufferening the brunt of this negligence during these covid times. We are struggling and hand washing our clothes daily in addition to many work responsibilties we already have. I seek your intervention for the following: 1) refund of rs. 4698/- which i have paid urban company 2) enough money to buy a new washing machine since all we have left now is an empty shell with all inner machine parts carried away by the technician. 3) whatever penalties you may deem fit to impose for this irresponsible behaviour on part o[censored]rban company.
