Videocon d2 H — defective remote

Had purchase videocon d2h dish tv on aug 2013 and within 6 month remote was not working. ..so lodged complaint to customers care and then they replaced the remote free of charge and they said there are lot of complaint against defective. Again my 3rd remote is not working. .issue is not about purchasing but don't have guarantee about new remote. Even I have dish TV since 2008 but till date didn't have problem regarding dish or remote. So want guarantee this remote work for how long
