Vodafone — Activating Number | |
Recently after my father’s death in mid Jan 2021 my mother submitted an application to transfer my father number to her name. The application was accepted however since last two months Vodafone is unable to make the number active. My mother lives by herself and is a senior citizen. She has been to the vodafone store a numerous time, been insulted by employees stating that the number does not belong to Vodafone and is an Airtel number. Even though I pay the Vodafone bills for this number Vodafone employees made her go to the Airtel store. Obviously, it did not work out. I have received official confirmation from Vodafone that the number was transferred without her knowing. This is unacceptable and I will be consulting with my lawyer and demanding all the harassment and trouble she has gone through. Not to mention the bills Vodafone sends us even when every time she visits the store they say that number will be active in next 48 since last 2 weeks. I have been living abroad and cannot help much but sure willing to fight as giving this number to someone else means fraud, my bank verification is tied with the number, exposing sensitive information.
